Never seen any of Star Wars movies, so wouldn't be familiar with Carrie Fisher then. But just realised she was in Drop Dead Fred with Rik Mayall, and the first Austin Powers movie. It's unbelievable how much she changed in those 20 or so years.

Shane macgowans mother, therese, killed in a car accident in co.tipperary. therese was in her 80's and is the first road fatality in ireland in 2017.

That is tragic. Shane by all accounts doing well as in sober these days. Hope this doesnt set him back...

Remember my Freshers Ball in UCD Shane's mother came out for Fairytale of New York and they danced together.
