My mate Carl passed away playing for our astro team last Thursday, leaves behind a wife and three small kids, the youngest only a week old. Beyond tragic. Rest in peace chief.

Very sad Croí. I can't imagine what his family are going through. Sympathies to them, and to his friends.

Thanks lads. I wasn't at the game myself as I was up in the club but the lads who were are understandably traumatised. There happened to be a nurse on the opposing team and the emergency services were brilliant apparently but sadly to no avail. A really decent guy.

A fine singer all right. Grace is one classic Irish ballad that he made his own.

I was in his company for a couple of days many years ago in California and not only was he great company, but a real gentleman.
