The world's oldest living man has died at the age of 112, 'surrounded by music and love' in his care home in Merseyside. John Tinniswood passed away on Monday in Southport, months after being named as the oldest man in the world.

Is it just me or does everyone who ends up with that record die not too long after?

Griffiths from that era when snooker became a huge TV sport. Beat Dennis Taylor in the 1979 World final. The two of them used to tour and do exhibitions after that. Jees! He was slow and boring to watch but a great player. A really nice guy too. RIP.

Amazing how all those  players from the 80's became  household names.  It really was  snookers heyday.

Irish singer Dickie Rock has died aged 88, his family have announced.

His death was confirmed in a statement issued by his family this evening.

"His children, Jason, John, Richard, Sarah Jane and Peter will miss him very much," the statement read.

"Dickie lost his beloved wife Judy in 2022 and they are now together again, and that is of some comfort to the family."
