I believe his conviction led to a change in the law when it comes to protecting your property

He receives over 10,000 cards and letters of support when he was in jail

Griffiths from that era when snooker became a huge TV sport. Beat Dennis Taylor in the 1979 World final. The two of them used to tour and do exhibitions after that. Jees! He was slow and boring to watch but a great player. A really nice guy too. RIP.

Flip me,  but he was slow! Seemed a  good character though

Amazing how all those  players from the 80's became  household names.  It really was  snookers heyday.
