We've had a few funerals lately and it's good to catch up at the wakes with the cousins, which I've quite a few off, most are okay in small doses and no doubt they'd say the same about me, more good than bad in all fairness.

Be glad with what you've got

The next GE can't come quick enough...

Rishi has 18 months. He has steadied the ship and they are not as bad as they were under BoJo. Coupled with an ineffective opposition don't be surprised if there is a major surge over the next while. The economy will improve. The DUP will go to Stormont, Brexit will be done, and Rishi will claim as much glory as he can. Will it be enough to get over the line?  Who knows. They'll likely get a hammering in the local elections but it wouldn't be the first time. We are not at a 1997 GE stage yet.

Starmer has been a disappointment, no doubt. Unable to raise an issue with Brexit, no full on support for the striking workers etc etc but he may have been given a lifeline by the SNP going into freefall, Labour, by doing very little could gain up to 20 seats in Scotland.

Sunak, isn't great but when compared to the two previous incumbents he comes across as competent even if there's still a whiff of dishonesty about him and his wifes tax affairs and failing to come clean on her investments in a child care company all the while the UK Gov are setting up a new scheme which these 5 main childcare companies would do quite well out of it.

I can't see him getting traction at the voting booth with the Britian/England first types that rallied around Boris and Co.

Strong Clare team announced...

Will they hit the heights of last year or will a resurgent Tipp have enough firepower to down the banner?

I'm going with Tipp on this one, I think they'll get more goals than Clare but there will be goals at both ends, forwards on top unless John Conlon can shore up that defence.

Poor Dominic Raab  ;D ;D

Horrible piece of work.

Indeed, throwing tomatoes at his staff, I'd be throwing my ham and cheese sandwich back at the hoor.

BUT,

Just like with the poison dwarf that was Priti Patel, they seem to dig up even bigger cúnts to replace the current ones...

I think it's high time Marty Mcfly got back into the DeLorean, go back in time and make sure Biff Tannen doesn't get his hands on that's sports almanac as it seems the US has turned into that alternate world....

I think Laverty and Gallagher should have a pact to play their players in both. Test the Ulster council and see the consequences.

Why do GAA people have such difficulty in accepting the rules of a competition?

Similar happened Cork and Limerick U20 hurlers last year with one of the Limerick hurlers missing out on the U20 AI final as he'd played for the senior hurlers in a few games, mostly as a sub.

Croke Park aren't going to change now and TBH it's a rule I agree with.

She may do but she is slowly becoming a parody of herself.
Credibility can easily slip for some when they're seen to be in the spotlight so often and in this little island has its fair share of those who are in everything but the crib.

And this is gonna sound so sexist but has anyone else noticed a clear cabal of females across the spectrum who seem to have chummed up, Team America style to take on all comers across politics, media and social media. Strong sisterhood and all that jazz.
Yep, it does sound so sexist.

Some people just feel threatened or inferior when faced with intelligent women...

Give the farmers a break I say, its the way it is because we want cheap food and the farmers have to do whatever they can in terms of efficiency to protect their livelyhoods. Regenerative models would help matters but the market can't live with the price of it. Wouldn't have a bad word said about farmers, they are the backbone of the country.
exporting food out of the country so they can have baby feed in china while we grow less and less crops and veg every year
modern farming model is not sustainable

we had a neighbour spreading slurry in the dark early on st stephen's morning.
His tank may have been overflowing.

He was overstocked and a f**king gobshite.

Not enough hours in the day for farmers when the weather is with them, the silage wagons would be going well into the early hours down here in the summer time.

No such thing any more. Not blaming farmers themselves for this but it has gone to a crazy level.

Farmers are being screwed over by the food producers, abattoirs and the likes.
They've no real choice.

Champions League semi finals

A Milan derby and Real Madid v Manchester City which is probably the final in all but name.

Never bet against an Italian team in a final is all I'd say on that.

Look at the organisation committee behind it with a correlation to the early days of the Casement project would let you know all you need to know about it.

Who are they?

Fuuny Queen's had a presentation photo of people who contributed positively to the GFA and who's in the photo....but Ian Óg.

Embarrassing by Queen's.

It must have been an attempt to find balance but in the process you totally undermine yourself.

Arlene walks out of the UUP talks team during the final days of the agreement negotiations and gets a peace award, utter bollox.

Trying to rewrite history they say!

DUP and the various loyalist bloggers spitting feathers at CHH for his speech at Queen's today.
Is it finally going to sink in that this bunch of Tories don't give a shite about them

Still think Tipp the only team to ambush them by simply moving the ball faster and moving faster themselves but it will only happen if limerick are off colour. Limerick brings there A game for rest of year and it's a done deal.
They have to ambush them outside Munster

With Munster being so tight I don't think anyone can keep their powder dry for an "ambush" in an AI semi-final or final.

It'll need to be full tilt in Munster from the get go.

7 day rule only applies to 'A'  grade competitions. A  Down hurler could have played for the U20 team last Saturday and in the the Joe McDonagh cup on Sunday. Crazy situation. How does the GAA get themselves in such a mess.

I think one did....

Doesn't make any sense that ruling in it's current form
