GAA Discussion / Armagh injury crisis
February 16, 2014, 11:17:02 AM
I see Gaelic Life are saying James Lavery is out for three months.

Has there even been a side that had so many injuries in one season? Very unlucky.

GAA Discussion / Cross player claims racial abuse

I think this should be a new topic. Leave the Ulster club to its own devices, this is serious enough to deserve a thread of its own.

IF TRUE, horrendous stuff - seems a nice fella.

Not always the marquee forward, or perhaps it is.

In Armagh when I think consistency the man that springs to mind is Andy McCann.

Katie Taylor's win is rightly being talked about for the atmopshere too.

What was the best atmopshere you have experienced live.

The 2005 All-Ireland semi-final - Armagh v Tyrone was as loud as I've heard a GAA match.

Liverpool v Man United in the FA Cup - 1-0 to Liverpool, possibly 2007?, was incredible atmopshere. Neville had ran the whole way to the 'Pool fans the game previous and the Liverpool fans were up for this one.

Can someone please explain this for me?

Do they have agreements with newspapers or the GAA, or do they just take stories from papers an put them up? Surely the latter wouldn't be allowed by papers, so I was wondering what the benefit is to them (the papers)?

No Cross boys anyway, well done today.

I wouldn't be surprised if Mackin and McKeever play.

Team, as of now, i'd like to see.

McEvoy

Mallon Donaghy McKenna
Duffy Dyas Finn Mo

Vernon Lavery

Forker Mallon Duffy
Rafferty McParland McVerry

General discussion / Present ideas

Over the next few weeks, I need prsent for a range of people including parents, young children, aunts, and brothers and sisters.

Mostly around the 50-pund range.

Any good suggestions, something different - most are very hard to buy for.

Good suggestions welcome.

General discussion / A fatty's challenge

Been a lurker around here for a number of years, has fairly quietened down in recent times.

Anyway, the recent marathon threads have made me decide to try and keep you posted on my journey from blob to buff.

As Kevin Bridges might say, i'm certainly not "documentary fat", but i'm about a stone overweight and not toned in the right places.

I was going to keep this thread updated on progress and hopefully get some tips etc, and anyone else undertaking such a venture should feel free to join in too.

I have all my measurements, not on hand, but will update. I am currently around the 75kg mark and about 5 10 and in my 20s.

I hope to lose my beer belly, firm up the chest and put on a bit of muscle mass.

I'm currently gyming it about three times a week and doing a copuple of sessions with a pt, a lot have been sceptical about that outlay, but, to be honest, as I train on my own niine times out of ten, she has been a great help in showing me things, improving my diet and pushing me on.

Anyone else doingg similar or anyone interested in following my progress?
