Agreed Keyser, another Laois Today favourite,

Baker would be brought on board with the Garda connection, he's at Superintendent rank now in Tullamore, Laois Offaly Garda Chief John Scanlon is The Harps Treasurer

On the Senior B side of things Abbeyleix have brought in Derek Dunne ex Clonad, Down Camogie manager with Barney Naughnane of Kilruane coaching formerly of Clough Ballacolla & Borris Kilcotton they would be a good bet to go back up.

Any word on Portlaoise ?

Probably more longevity in a championship topic rather than just a managers topic, but we'll start with 2022 Managers , list so far - ( 4 semi finalists are all staying the same I believe

Clough Ballacolla - Declan Laffan with Pat Cleere, Shane Maher

Rathdowney Errill - Shane Keegan, Kevin Power, Eoin Fitzpatrick, Tom Hasset S&C
Camross - David Cuddy, John Kennedy (Templederry, Richie Hitchcock S&C
Rosenallis - ?
The Harps - Ollie Baker,
Ballinakill - Eamon Jackman, Jimmy Walsh
Castletown - David Cuddy, John O Sullivan

I would love for 2022 if Laois Today, great service to the county that they do provide, would get a knowledgable, down to earth hurling pundit for the year, hurling is definitely not the lads forte, football obviously their first love, but the analysis of games / performances is miles off.

As regards the game yesterday, we are well behind in S&C stakes consistently, still playing catch up with the main teams. Good numbers on the panel, a few out of their depth, but as said above I think with our best 15 /17 we can compete most days.
Best yesterday Ryan Mullaney, Podge Delaney, Roddy, Picky, Stephen Bergin

Mark Dowling will be a good addition to the full forward line, ciaran byrne needs time to develop, Fonzy also will need to get used to this level, Jack kelly brought a bit of pace into the game, where to hurl him will be the decision, maybe podge at 6 again and Jack at 7.

Goin to be hectic few months for them, realistically we're looking to win the Antrim home league game and the westmeath home
Championship game, anything else a bonus,
Ben Conroy was v poor and turned over numerous balls that led to scores,
Biggest thing we will need is a half forward line.

Aaron Dunphy is on board,
I believe Cleere is hoping to go travelling for a few months in the new year

If Rynaghs had to get the win Ballacolla would have won the Leinster final

Congratulations to all in Clough Ballacolla,
Unbelievable to be heading to Croke Park with your club to hurl a Leinster final.
Great for Laois hurling too to be in the spotlight for the right reasons, & as Declan Laffan said afterwards two of the toughest games they've had was in the semi final and final in Laois.

Good luck for the massive week ahead
I think a lot of Laois hurling people will travel next Sunday.

Offaly coaching & games are blowing us out of the water with the work they are doing at present.
I like the lads we have on board but can anyone say what's being done at the moment with our development panels ? Coaching Courses etc

Did Doyle appeal his red card or bother? Hard to see anyway of getting off from initial viewing anyway.
Ballacolla also struck with Covid ?

Anyone know the make up of the Laois U16 panel / management or how it's going?
Just interested as I see a post on Offaly Gaa about a win over our u16s tonight at the centre of excellence, struck me how mature / fit / conditioned looking the Offaly panel are.

I think Clough Ballacolla will beat Rathdowney Errill tomorrow they seem to be hurling confidently & settled into their game plan, only issue is whether they've been tested enough in the last three games if Hennessey & Walsh in particular are out it gives RE a chance but without kavangh & mcginley  might struggle to get a big enough score, need Paddy Purcell to be outstanding for the hour

And where had all the confidence in Camross come from ? They've beaten the worst two teams in the Senior Championship, Borris Kilcotton beat them by 8 the last day without Joe Campion & Stephen Phelan
I do expect it to be a lot closer but I'd expect a BK win, surprised bookies & media all going with Camross.

Hope Colt Shanahoe stick it out and stay together for the long haul, they'll improve after a tough couple of years
Anyone here at the game? Was the penalty call harsh at the end ?

Yes then they go back to making the same stupid mistakes when they have to use their heads, letting the likes of Castletown cod themselves and everyone else back into the B competition and win it by 28 points!!!
Beating Portarlington who won the genuine B competition last Saturday, which I was delighted to see
Clubs cheating the system and fellas on the juvenile board that haven't a clue what's actually happening on the ground in clubs.

I just read the report of their second team's game. Jesus that is an old team. There must be a large number of young lads hurling junior?

Dooley is tied up currently. He is hardly tied up on a permanent contract or for 12 months of the year at this stage? Or perhaps he is?

Borris Kilcotton done good work, getting lads to tog out and beat Clonad Intermediate to spare their Junior team to win they county final,
Will prob make the intermediate final now too, Ballacolla look to be well ahead of the pack & unlikely to lose anymore.

Rosenallis have to be dead certs to go down, very poor on Sunday didn't look like the wanted to be there, Ballacolla flying it at the moment but bigger tests to come,
Semi finals are still going to be the big 4, Ballacolla, Rathdowney Errill, Borris Kilcotton & Camross will beat Abbeyleix and re group.

County panel back on a gym programme since last Monday night.
