That rte commentary was brutal, couldnít even get players names right half the time. Also did any of you catch Brady in the studio saying Virgil tackles yer man at 40 or 50mph 🤭
Commentry was poor alright. Canning was convinced a second Liverpool goal would have finished the game ,when in reality a second goal wouldn't have changed anything as Napoli would still only have needed one. Pretty sure I heard him say Trent Arnold Alexander on a few occasions also.

Robertson outstanding. VVD and Alisson showing what Liverpool have been missing in recent years.

How Liverpool only scored one is beyond me. Koulibaly is a serious defender, I reckon heíll be at Chelsea or United next year.
We should put in a bid for him, we'd never concede a goal again!

I see Joe Gomez has signed a new deal, hopefully get him back playing soon as he's been having a great season. Massive future ahead of him.

Good weekend all things considered. Massive week coming up now.

When you look back at the games so far its incredible that Liverpool are top given that they have not played particularly well in a  lot of games and had a few massive slices of luck (the derby, City penalty etc). Despite the desperation of some United fans to have Liverpool seen as favourites or "Champions Elect"  , (presumably so they can gloat on here when their rivals from across the city win it ::)::) )  I do not think I have spoken to one Liverpool fan who would have Liverpool as anything other than an outside chance. Liverpool have just got over the line in a few games while City, bar the match on Saturday have pretty much cruised through the first half of the season without their best player. Its a sign of how good the results have been that Spurs, despite their best ever start are six points back however I would not rule them out of mounting a challenge. You look at Liverpool's fixtures from now to the City game and you could see Spurs closing the gap by then.

United will be a real test this Sunday as despite how poorly they  have been for big parts of this year, Mourinho always does well at Liverpool and he knows how to set teams up when he is the underdog. Unfortunately if United were really 6/1 I think that is a great bet.
Spot on, the sad shower of gobshites.

Good ending to a good week.
Didn't honestly see Liverpool getting 6 points from last two away games, or City losing today.
Good hit on the goal difference today also with a 6 goal swing.
Seems the only crowd getting carried away about Liverpool being top is United fans. Every Liverpool fan knows they are still complete outsiders for the title

Funny how the Sky commentators kept saying we are temporarily top of the league. They really are dying for City to win it. Some craic if Chelsea win this evening ?
Chelsea win tonight and you can say this is Liverpool's Premier league title to lose.

 :D

Yeah with not even half a season played in a 2 horse race with a , potentially, slim lead over one of the best teams ever in the premier league they would be throwing it away if they didn't hold out for over half a season :o
;D

I would take the banter from most supporters, but Liverpool fail to realise continually is that they finished behind this outfit last year.

9 points ahead of them this season though.... ;)
16 points
