Quote from: square_ball on Today at 01:32:57 PMEngland have a very good chance. Their defence isn't as bad as its made out albeit they seem to have no natural left back. Their front 4 of Foden/Kane/Bellingham/Saka is as good as what is at the tournament.Me the same, but the increase in teams and reduced jeopardy in group stages has lessened the appeal. 16 teams 4 groups of 4 should been left like that top two into last 8.
Looking forward to it. I've always favoured the Euros over the World Cup for some reason.

Quote from: johnnycool on Today at 11:39:43 AMBelgium should be there or there abouts as well given the players they have, but seem to fill the togs at tournaments...
Surely there's a left sided Fullback in England rather than pinning all their hopes on a perennially injured Luke ShawI was surprised Mitchell from palace wasn't in the 33. Gomez and Trippier don't give great balance if Shaw is injured or not really up to speed fitness wise.
Both Branthwaite and Quansa (Liverpool) invited to the extended panel, maybe to put pressure on Maguire, but one of the two need to go as I think Stones is first choice, it's just a matter of who he's paired with, but Southgate has traditionally stuck with the tried and tested Maguire no matter how shíte he's been with Utd.
Quote from: SouthOfThe Bann on Today at 09:37:40 AMPortugal are another side with an incredible squad.
Whether Martinez can get the best out of them is another question.
And is Ronaldo a hindrance?
Quote from: Captain Obvious on May 21, 2024, 07:48:17 PMHe had a decent end to season and looked to have them moving right way.Not having nkunku, James and chilwell most of the season didn't help things.Quote from: quit yo jibbajabba on May 21, 2024, 07:12:53 PMPochettino goes. The circus is back in town
How many different managers is that now under Todd Boehly? Pochettino never looked like a good fit for a club that are seeking instant success.
Quote from: Gael85 on May 19, 2024, 02:03:43 PMThat Tyrone no 11 is a good footballer.quality.would imagine being drafted into senior panel potential be best 11 since mcguigan.
Quote from: galwayman on May 18, 2024, 07:30:24 PMComers ankle is the big worry going forward.mckinless would be known for ill discipline stupid and needless act.
He had a bad ankle injury a few years back that took him a long time to recover from.
It was a dirty dirty act.
Against 14 men or not - it was a decent performer from our lads.
Quote from: From the Bunker on May 18, 2024, 09:05:53 PMUlster not as strong as it has been hyped up to be. Both Derry and Cavan put to the sword, and believe me both Galway and Mayo are no great shakes.I would say competitive not strong.
Quote from: Brendan on May 17, 2024, 04:35:08 PMThis Slot fella is doomed to failure, has too big of an ego announcing himself as the new managerWasn't the most humble thing to do, could have let Klopp gad big send off and club normally announce manager not ideal start. The Dutch can be a strange bunch.
Quote from: Blowitupref on May 17, 2024, 03:22:03 PMDont agree with that any team will take a point at City before game starts bad losses to Fulham and Villa are what has put them in this position. May not be over though, the Aguerooo moment City needed to win against a rank bad QPR team and tried their best to make a meal of it. West Ham probably owe it to Moyes to put in a performance last day and they do have some quality at top end of pitch.Quote from: J70 on May 17, 2024, 02:41:18 PMCity's PL form since the turn of the year:
P18 W15 D3 L0
Regular as clockwork.
Draws with Liverpool and Arsenal. Not sure on the other.
1-1 with Chelsea at home.
Arsenal will likely look back on that draw against City now, a match they played defensive in and never really pushed for the win.
Quote from: square_ball on May 17, 2024, 03:41:55 PMOne for you Mayo ones - whats the deal with Stephen Coen? From watching Mayo over the years I can't see what he brings to the Mayo team and for an average player imo, he seems to play every single game.I would agree he seemed to be a bit of a household player at Colleges level and gets regular starts in variety of positions not really sure what his strengths are/ role is within the Mayo setup.
