Herrera, Baines and Fellaini all looking likely at this stage. Would not be so bad..

It would be brilliant!!! Mediocrity here we come . . .

Do you have any idea about Herrera? He is far from mediocre. The other 2 don't set the world alight but will improve on what Utd have.

Baines doesn't set the world alight? He's been the best left full in Britain for 3 years easy. United would be lucky to have him. Thankfully he saw sense.
Have to laugh at some supposed die-hard Reds throwing abuse at their manager already. Ferguson would never have got the time he got if the support had been like this current bunch. Faithful supporters my hole.
In fairness Moyes is poor replacement for Ferguson and abuse should be thrown at the owners for appointing him.

Talk that Fabio Coentrao has been signed. That would be a quality signing.

EC Unique will be on soon to tell us Coentrao is the greatest player ever.

So he'll replace Evra (who's been decent), what da fcuk difference would that make to the team?

All panic buys, silly, would rather they have went big for one quality midfielder, paid 30m+ to ensure he came
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Fellaini deal done - 27.5million

Wasn't his release clause 23million??

Yes think so. Moyes really knows how to strike a hard bargain  ;D

Relax, he can also play left wing. And going by Ashley Young's form I would have him on the wing. Season loan, good addition.

Does Moyes not deserve at least 2 seasons to get things right or do you want to get rid of him after 3 games? Do you write for The Sun? He is the manager and he knows more about the game than you, me or any other fan and he deserves a bit of support from the fans of a club that had had to wait four long years for their greatest ever manager to turn things around.

No i don't write for the Sun and you,me and any other fan knows a better manager should have replaced Ferguson.

So who would have been better? Pellegrini hasn't exactly set the world alight at this stage - Mourinho's Chelsea look bland and same old, same old; My personal choice of Laudrup is having a shaky start to the season; AVB, at this stage looks pretty lost with all the changes in his team.
Honestly, who would you have instead of Moyes? Moreover, who would have the balls to take on such a job after Ferguson? I am not his greatest fan, but it is pretty Sun/Daily Mail - esque what you are posting. Give the guy a chance.

Fellaini for £28m???

Could Moyes be a double agent doing a good turn for his old club? That fee's ridiculous and Andy Carrollesque! f**king Van Persie cost them less than that! You would think Fergie could have given a hand with the negotiating at least.

1. Get a small time manager in

2. Play poorly against 2 of your biggest rivals

3. Sign an over rated player for a ridiculous amount of money

4. Don't sign anyone of noted quality

Carlseberg don't do United seasons ... YEEEEEOOOOOO!!!!

No goals in 3 hours. United are starting to look like Everton last season. If things continue like this, Moyes will be under pressure by Christmas.

I'm on the record as saying he's a 2nd rate manager.

I have to agree. A team like Everton is his level. I gave him two seasons at United, maximum. It could be a lot shorter.

Moyes has inherited an aging squad (who need invigorated) and a team of average joes in Cleverly, Young, Nani, Anderson, etc, etc.

Fergusons greatest achievement was to win an EPL with that bunch, but he was helped with City and Chelsea imploding at the same time.

Really?

De Gea, Rafael, Fabio, Buttner, Smalling, Jones, Evans, Cleverly, Anderson, Powell, Welbeck, Zaha, Janujaz, Hernandez all under 25 and most of those are sniffing around the matchday squads.

I wouldn't think their average starting XI age is any older than many other teams, even with Giggs in it.
De Gea could be good, Rafael is OK, Hernandez is good IMO but under utilized by both Ferguson and Moyes so far. The rest are hardly going to strike fear into the top clubs in Europe, now are they, average joes.

As for Fellaini, he according to some isn't a United player, how arrogant and ignorant a statement is that as he eats and shíts out the Utd midfield and defence every time he plays against them. IMO he'll be a good signing for you if deployed the right way and now he dons the red of united he'll get a lot more leeway from referees.

EC Unique

Last night and the whole window seems to have been a right royal fcuk up. Side show bob will help the midfield but more was required.

Give him a chance I would have preferred a more creative player then Fellaini but he is obviously a decent a player and has good ability. Comparing him to Andy Carroll is Ott,. Fellaini is a regular International with a Belguim team full of Quality and a key player for them. I don't think Carroll had one Cap for England when Liverpool signed him.

I read that liine about him not being a United player too, takes one journalist to spout that then it becomes contagious.  He has bossed United and the majority of the big games I have seen him in over the last few years, and apparently was played further up the field at Everton than where he specialises yet still made the highest number of successful tackles and passes.  United have for a few years lacked physicality in the middle, a real ball winner.  Our midfield has been too easy to by pass, and although we haven't addressed the pressing issue of getting more creativity in there (why no Ozil?) I am very happy at getting Fellaini as he will give us something we have missed since Hargreaves/Fletcher.

Guillem Balague saying on Twitter that the Coentrao deal is off.
Was it the same imposters who done the deal for Herrera that done the Coentrao deal  :D

Yeah, that's right the deal did not complete.  It all depended on RM getting the guy Sigueira in to replace him but he had already joined Benfica.   Rumblings starting to surface that Moyes isn't up to  the job.  Time will tell but I think he is over-awed by the enormity of it all.
