Donaghmore about to pay the man who just missed out on Clonoe job serious money....
How much is serious money nowadays?

Going rate for a D1 manager payment can be anything from 12k to 25k. Depending on club and manager involved.
25k for one man? Seems like an awful amount of money. How much would the likes of McBride be getting in Errigal? And does it come with a championship clause?
McBride would need to be a lot less negative than their current Loup man if they want to be competitive.

Any truth in Francy McCaughey (No Parts) taking the job in Augher?

Anyone at the under 21 semi final yesterday? Didn't get up to it but the result shocked me, i had Dromore winning that one hands down after their Senior league win.

Do Dungannon not have 4/5 Tyrone U20s?

They have some team to be fair. Of the top of my head they would have -

Mark McKearney - County U20 2019
Brian McNulty - County U20 2019
James Morgan - County U20 2019
Oran Mallon - County U20 2019
Ryan Jones - County U20 2019
Dalaigh Jones - County U20 2018
Conall Devlin - County Minor 2018
Kevin Barker - County Minor 2018
Sean Cowan - County Minor 2018
Cormac Hughes - County Minor 2018
Dromores list would be something similar though as well.
Emmet McNabb
Cahir Goodwin
Ryan McCuscker
Sludden (injured maybe)
Odhran Rafferty
Few more faces i can think off i just don't have names

It might make more sense to look at their underage for the past few years when assessing how the 2 teams. Dungannon have been playing at Grade 1 regularly, Dromore have not.

I remember our boys playing that same Dungannon team in Division 2 at under 16 level. What grade were Dromore then? 2014 that would have been.

You definitely don't remember them playing D2 in 2014, they were D1 in U16s in 2013/14/15 and possibly 2016 also. But so were Dromore

Tyrone Annual Report for 2014 says otherwise. Carrickmore won grade 1 double, and dungannon grade 2 double. But if you say so.

Seems stupid errigal paying anyone at all to manage them considering there resources. For a club to pay someone whilst having probably the greatest player to ever play the game at there club seems silly.
Agree, however there is no point opening that can of worms. I have just learnt not to expect anything simple by Errigal. With men like Canavan, the Hartes, O'Roarke, and a rack of other men with valuable experience on the pitch and on the line, you'd think they can find someone within their own ranks that could step up?

Don't forget Enda McGinley. He took them to back to back minor championships in 17 and 18, surely the logical step would be for him to take the senior job and help bring these boys through. He managed Swatragh this year so time mustn't be an issue for him.
Time maybe isnt an issue, but doubt Errigal would be interested in giving him the figures he asked certain Armagh club for or got from Swatragh

Enda McGinley lost a lot of credibility when he wrote that utter bollox in the IN about how young lads shouldn't be going anywhere over summer and instead should invest any spare time into their clubs. I should have checked before typing, Dungannon have played Minor Grade 1 from 2015 to 2019, Dromore played Minor Grade 1 4 of those years, only playing Grade 2 this year.

Edna maybe has seen how hard it seems for inhouse managers etc to succeed.Errigal supporters are very hard to satisfy high expectations every year.Thought Mark Harte would have been in the frame.

Mark too heavily involved in his other projects - TG4, Clonduff, Tyrone U14's, Tyrone senior advisor from stand - to be involved with Errigal. However, I think him and O'Donnell could do a decent job with other senior clubs in Tyrone but not with EC. Too much inside pressure

Are you serious. You are saying he drives for an hour to Hilltown to take clonduff rather than stay at home and manage errigal because there is too much pressure managing errigal.
Every knows why he is taking Clonduff, I have no issues with his reasons, but don't pretend it is something it's not

Also he is not involved with Tyrone u14s. Irrespective of what you may read

FFS calm down. I was being sarcastic. Mark is too busy to take Errigal, making money in all his various projects. Errigal are not certain to win a championship irrespective of who takes them inside man or outsider.

Some pound notes there in total

Lorcan Martin now confirmed by Edendork for season ahead.

McGinley is another alright who has joined the mercenary gravy train..the money he asked for to take a neighbouring club was obscene

The only people it seems now that arn't getting paid is the players.
