United could have done with Fellaini there. Even with all that possession they never looked dangerous. A lot of huffing and puffing but threatening very little.

Four shots on target, all at keeper! Never threatened really at all as you say. Overall I thought they were shite.. Chelsea did a Utd on them
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought. Ea

Fergie had the ability to get the most out of his best players and rise up the average player the last  3 United managers seem to do the opposite , hard to watch them

mrdeeds

Not bringing keeper up at end. So negative.

34 % possession must be the lowest ever for a cup final winning team? even big underdogs Wigan got 48% possession v Manchester City in 2013 final.

Arsenal 2005? Think it was 99% to 1%

Liverpool v Arsenal in 2001 must be up there. Arsenal absolutely battered Liverpool for about 80 minutes until Owen scored twice to win it.

Still obsessed with the possession  figures, they mean nothing

Free header for Pogba a few yards out was an awful miss.

Could've been another pen for Chelsea with Young handling. Refs are so inconsistent on those calls

True. Passing over and back on the halfway line counts as possession.

Can you recall a side winning a FA cup final with so little of the ball before? the other lads on here mentioned 2005 and 2001 finals however both Arsenal and Liverpool have much more possession than Chelsea had today and the only goal of the game today was penalty from an error don't forget.

Exactly, and there is no context.

Arsenal played Liverpool off the pitch in 2001, nobody would argue that was the case today with United, except maybe Mr Mourinho

In fairness United had 18 shots compared to Chelseas 6 in that game and United played most of the football 2nd half. I think losing to one moment of magic or even a goal in open play would be better than losing to penalty.

"Our team without Lukaku, Fellaini we don't have presence". I'd be embarrassed and angry if Mourinho was manager of my club.

I'd be embarrassed if my club has won a solitary league cup in 10 years....
