Croke Park are reported to not be too worried about loss of revenue if the Dublin fans do not purchase drink inside the ground.
"Sure Tyrones playing the same day, them hoors will make up for it!"

Between them they're giving this thing some legs.

I haven't seen any reply from Shefflin.
Fecking Sunday game is the headline news after Championship weekend more than the Championship itself.

Says it all really. Controversy is the only thing keeping it going.

At least your honest BennyCake. I'd say if I was in Armagh's boat I'd be feeling something the same. I certainly would not want Derry winning any more but doubt I'll be lying awake worrying about that for a while yet.

I'd love a Tyrone v Mayo final this year, just for the novelty of it.

Been contemplating that and I don't think I would want it. Mayo can't lose another final, they just cant. The law of averages would kick in and tyrone would suffer as a result.
Then again tyrone are overdue a win against them after championship and league in the last 12 months.

Might be surprised by the margin but not a surprise result.
Main question was would Galway get back on the horse after the CF.
If they did I think mosthe discerning folk expected they'd win.

I thought max 4 or 5 points in it, leaning Donegal. Never in a million years did i predict what happened.

Why are Roscommon 3/1 to win this game? Mayo have looked a jaded side in the qualifiers needing extra time to get past Cork and Derry. Roscommon are being heavily underestimated here I think as Mayo look to be largely a team in decline.

Because they beat Leitrim and a Galway team who just never got going. Also just after a terrible league campaign.

"We" "us"
RN cars, Roscommon Library, RCoCo streets, footpaths, sewers etc etc

Ah well.....

What colours will it be in this weekend? Rhubarb? Rossie? Or both?

Complaining that the bottom 16 teams don't get to the closing stages of the CHAMPIONSHIP. :o
What do they want - a handicap system?

Exactly. If they want to make the final stages of the championship they should work harder. If Clare/Tipperary can come on leaps and bounds in football then there's no excuse.

Go to Leitrim and spout your elitism, please.

This notion that weaker teams have a right to be in the latter stages isn't right. Teams should be there on merit, not pity.

It is also inherently unfair, because some counties have less population, less clubs and less players than others.

I'm not in favour of the super 8's, even though Armagh would have benefited from it in the past. The new system takes away from the magic of the knockout stages.

I hear you. Quarter final days are always nice. Don't see how super 8 helps weaker counties anyway if they qualification for a quarter final is still the same.

I never knew of this whole Ballaghaderreen situation until this evening and it has blown my mind. And I thought ballinderry was a bad case. At least the most of it is in Derry! What's the breakdown of rossies/mayo in the town?

All this needs is one controversial decision from the ref and we're looking at a 100 pager here

Given it's Joe Mac in charge it's unlikely to be O'Shea diving and conning him out of a penalty, anyways.

Right off the back of his excellent performance in the Ulster final  ::)

For those of you who didn't see it. Sean had his back to McKernan who runs at him from behind and shoulders him to the ground into his back.

I see also Colm O'Rourke couldn't resist having a pop at us as well, giving out about Morgan's antics though he did commend big Sean for not reacting to the Down's nipple tactics.

Aye. If brolly got a shoulder to the back like that he'd have fallen to the floor as well. He just can't resist having a pop can he.

Kerry Mayo was in Limerick because of that American Football bollix.
How did that go?

The american football, I mean

Penn state scored a field goal with the last kick to defeat university of Florida if I recall correctly.

Wondered how long it would take brolly to throw a dig at sky and he didn't disappoint. Must have been in the first minute! He just couldn't help himself.
