General discussion / Re: Boeing 737 max
March 11, 2019, 12:41:52 PM
When I heard about the Ethiopia Airlines disaster I was expecting it to be some 40 year old hen house. Who is at fault here? Normally it's pilot error and I'm no aviation expert but it doesn't look good for Boeing that this is the second air disaster involving these planes in under 6 months.

Hate people who don't use the pump furthest away. Some gimp sat waiting on a car leaving the forecourt. So I waited behind thinking he'd take the one furthest as it was also empty. But no the dodo just went for the nearest one and there wasn't any room to pass. I end up looking like a dick as there was a wee queue developing into fiveways having to manoeuvre into the pump on the other side and stretch the hose over my car Which I don't like doing. Such bad petrol station etiquette

Always makes me laugh the outrage this type of game of game creates.

Hundreds of games played a week and people pick apart the worst one to get all frantic about.  Its a typical Irish attitude tbf.  Lets all get hysterical about this one game, lets face it, that scoreline is a rarity. People need to calm down.
Couldn't agree more. One shite match and it's a whole song and dance about how doomed Gaelic football is. There have always been low scoring matches. This isn't something new. You just see much more of it nowadays thanks to social media. Then we have the purists having a panic attack and proposing stupid rules every year because they want the game to back to how it was in 1950 with some fat mess in nets, a couple of ogres in midfield and some beast in full forward; and to just kick it up high in the air for them all to field high balls becuase apparently that's the most important skill in Gaelic football.

News flash - not every team can or will play off the cuff all out attacking football in every single match. You're gonna see a few shite matches. Especially in winter. Get over it

Well well...

/Jim.

Personally I would laugh if someone called me 'british' in a gaa game.....but certainly do not find anything remotely funny in being called a fenian b**tard.
It's really hilarious when you think about it. Imagine some west Brit gimp from Laois, who probably w**ks over Man U or Liverpool in their spare time, calling somone from Cullyhanna or Crossmaglen a Brit. These boys have uncles brothers cousins fathers grandparents who shot down Brit helicopters for fun ffs 😂

Belfast and the north in general doesn't have the infrastructure to properly utilise public transport. The trains are full. The gliders are full. The cycle lanes are pathetic and not much incentive for a car dependent city. And yet the roads into and out of Belfast are still like a car park at rush hour. I know people who commute to Belfast and at peak times aren't always guaranteed to have room to get onto the train never mind get a seat or standing room

People are sick in the head. Surely it would be possible to track down the person who felt the need to whip their phone out and video it and send it to half the country

'Accidents' on the Westlink.

People who use the Applegreen Stations to bypass traffic.
I have to say they really need to introduce motorway driving onto the driving test, how f**king hard is it to leave your phone be and keep a safe distance from the car in front without driving into the back of some ****. And then we have everyone nosey **** slowing down to have a look after they stand outside their cars with their two arms at one length blocking a carriage way instead of at least moving onto the hard shoulder. Right enough like motorways are the roads that require the least "driving" yet there were at least three collisions on the M1 today  >:(

I wonder if some sort of speed ramps or forcing them to make a detour would slow them down enough that it wouldn't be worth their while.

I see them do it all the time on my way in from Blaris to Belfast....they don't even make much ground after it all.  It's a c*&%s trick.
I used to do it at sprucefield

I'd say Donnelly has got enough from irish league supporters and even some reds supporters without worrying about what a few culchies on here are saying. He probably thought he was billy big balls getting her to pose in his shirt, and she probably thought she was great pulling a footballer. His mistake was sharing those photos. Even if she was older than 16, it's a scummy move just to show off to his mates.

The whole age thing isn't the (main) issue here for me, it's the fact he sent his mates the pictures. Doesn't matter if she was 16 or 36, it's a complete sc**bag act. 4 months is a let off, his defence are appealing and part of the basis is that he is of such low intelligence that he is bordering on having a learning difficulty  ::)

Anyone any experience of getting money off roads service for damage caused by potholes? Have heard it's a bit of a handlin, is it worth the hassle?
