Wasn't great from the little I saw of it...

I thought players wanted to play more games. Why train all year for one knockout game.
Most counties outside Ulster operate a group stage

They got leagues for  more than one game i thought county leagues were serious

Can you recall when teams celebrate winning the league div 1? The league is for playing in, the championship is for winning. Maybe that has changed in some counties  :-\
Absolutely!

Glen will give Ulster a fair rattle this year, though they're on the same side as Kilcoo so that won't be easy navigated. An Ulster final between Glen and Clann Eireann will be a ding dong battle. 2 up and coming under age set ups finally making the break through. A new name on the Seamus McFerran cup this year methinks....
Yeah Cross have no chance and their underage set up is useless too.... The younger lads only all have 2 or 3 county minors and most of them have county u21 medals, couple of Ulster minor medals there as well. Not to mention the wheelbarrows full of senior county, Ulster and All Irelands the older lads have.

Comfortable wins in the Dublin semi finals for St Judes and Kilmacud (over Lucan and Ballyboden respectively).

Crokes will be favs for the final, but Judes have a genuine chance.

Mannion man of the match for Crokes and looked very sharp. Still non-commital on whether he'll go back with the Dubs next year.

Man of the match for Judes was their big number 9, Pat Spillane Junior. Yes, the son! Dominant display at midfield and kicked 3 long range points to boot. Never represented Kerry at underage, and was usually a sub for Templenoe. Played for Judes second team last year, but progressed to the first team during the course of this year. One swallow doesn't make a summer, but he looked a proper player and it will be very interesting to see how gets on in the final. (He came across very well in the after match interview).

Big Spillane looked a tidy player alright, maybe a late developer. That said I found both semi-finals extremely boring, one-sided affairs which is a shame.

Ulster could be wide open, potential new winners in Derry & Antrim, one of the big hitters will be gone in the first round (Donegal v Derry) along with Down & Monaghan winners on that side of the draw, this is primed for a Crossmaglen assault from the long grass. Clann Éireann have every chance in the Armagh final but they just won't have the know how, experience or cuteness (and sobriety) to cut it at this level in November. The fact Bcb is talking the opposition up in a thread about Ulster means Cross have one eye on it already

Donegal County final today, should be plenty of scores in that  ::)

I assume these are picked well in advance.  Surely the derry county final would have been a better pick today

More Gaeltacht in Donegal, and they usually look after that cohort which is fair enough

It must be easy being a ref in these big hurling matches. Do not blow the whistle unless for a push on the back or near decapitation ;D

TG4 done the other 31 counties in Ireland a service by not showing the Derry final, brutal stuff glen are a great side but slaughtneil are brutal, zero interest in attacking just trying to contain glen and letting them have the ball even when 6/7 points behind.

StPatsAbu

The Donegal final at this stage is every bit as boring as Donegal people in general....  ;D

Rossfan

Everything that's wrong about present day "foot"ball on display in abundance.

Just stuck it on, really boring stuff, it's not the files need changed we need teams to throw the shackles off and play football, imagine being a good footballer and training 3 nights a week, giving up a lot of social events throughout the year to go out and play that? Managers need to back players to actually play football not sit in a system
