Hard to believe Mayo favourites ahead of Tyrone and Derry especially losing Mullin and Keegan

It's the annual Mayo bandwagon.

Surely theres no one expecting much of them this year.

Kevin McStay on board with Rochford and Donie Buckley will at the very least be expecting to mount a challenge. Sure neighbours Galway reached last years final and competitive in it.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

I'd say their name is being  engraved on Sam as we speak :-\
Davy's given us a dream to cling to
We're going to bring home the SAM

ONeill

Can't see Derry bate the year.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

It's either Kerry or  Dublin  for Sam.

Maybe Tyrone if  they get it together  . They are the only other capable  of it

Galway  probably the best beyond that  , but   just don't have it in them.....yet

Armagh could easily drift backwards. Last years QF  place means nothing if they don't  push on a bit further .

Derry are awful to watch , but they aren't that far behind but just don't see them  pushing a Kerry/Dub when it really matters

It's hard to know about Dublin and Tyrone.
It's unusual to have Dublin and Kerry as joint favourites. Usually their peaks haven't been correlated over the last 30 years.

Dublins main lads all have another year in the legs and the youngsters arent anywhere near the lads from the 6 in a row team. Couple of key retirements as well but Mannion and McCaffrey back will be huge. They were at their weakest last year but still tanked Kildare and were a wonder free away from taking Kerry to extra time. Can't really see anyone else beating those 2 although I'd love a go at Dublin in the championship. Don't think Tyrone will win Sam but likely win Ulster this year. Derry ain't gonna beat Dublin or Kerry. Not sure Galway have any more in them to go one better.

Derry were unbearable last year, it was a step back for football.

Gallagher might get a tune out of them this year again but that trick only lasts for a couple of seasons. There's only so much of that earache from the man you can tolerate coming from the sideline.

Look-Up!

You'd always have to expect a bit of regression after a breakthrough year. Derry and Armagh beware. Derry might just have a better talent conveyor coming through so could hold or improve slightly. Galway have the ability to improve too you'd feel. Mayo, it's hard to call but they are resilient. Donegal another hard one to call, key man gone but average manager gone too. They have undeniable talent still if new man can get a tune but long shot. Monaghan you'd feel, whatever about holding their level, more likely to wane than improve.

So as for Connacht standard bearers, it's a toss up between the tribes and heather. Ulster, Tyrone you'd fancy to be out in front, if and by how much only time will tell. Down south, Kerry and Dubs way out in front. Dubs will be sore this year, Kerry have a monkey off their back and will not want to be a one hit wonder.

QF line up shoe ins
Kerry
Dublin
Tyrone
Galway
Mayo

After that, it's a toss up, any three from 7/8 teams. I'd go with Donegal, Derry and maybe another Ulster/Connacht team. No offense to Leinster/Munster, just going with form at this stage.
