Just googled it, there’s 50 quid difference if you’ve less than 35 years working and contributing, or if you’ve never worked but claimed benefits you’ll get a state pension
I’m minimum (currently) 16 years away from that! (Good grief)

The issue is being able to clearly distinguish between those that are genuinely unable to work, and those who are milking the system. It's probably the same a in a lot of walks of life. There will always be the bluffers and scammers.
Think you’ll see I didn’t mention those unable to work, just those that don’t work, and if there are bluffers that are working they are still earning and paying into the system.

« on: June 05, 2023, 10:11:20 PM »Poor doctors have to contribute about 9% but neglect to mention the employer (tax payer) is chipping in 20-30% on top of that.
They don't get that 20-30% though. It goes into a communal pot to pay everyone who works for HSCNI. They get 1/54(?) of each years salary every year of retirement.
Should someone with a public job pension get a state pension?

« on: June 05, 2023, 03:54:37 PM »There are boys who haven't got game time not playing for clubs but Lynch gets gametime and plays with his club is the thing which stands out... If he didn't then it wouldn't look like any grey areas... Just seems a bit odd.
Could it be that if you are not starting then the rule is you can play for your club and if you are starting then you can't play?

The players would know what they're signing up to, full commitment to county until the season is over, and availability to play for club by permission from management on a case by case basis. The clubs get players back for second half of league and the full championship.
The grey areas are the bits we don't know so a lot of assuming and so on which can't help with gossiping lol

Been over 12 years since they won last so transition from minor to the next level seems lately to be the problem for Galway

Galway won All-Ireland minor titles in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Clare have a total of 2.
The priority for Galway now is fixing the minor to senior transition mechanism.
But that's the reason for the under 20 level, that step up to senior is there, but a small enough percentage of that Galway team will progress to senior. Galway traditionally very strong at minor, what's their record at the old under21 or recent under 20?
