Title: SKYPE
Post by: wrecked_em on August 27, 2007, 08:36:28 PM
Will be leaving heading for Oz for a year soon and was wondering about internet calling systems like SKYPE, MSN, Yahoo, Net2Phone for calling the folks back home with the bonus of a picture. Has anyone any experience of this and whats the quality service like? As far as I know its free but can be upgraded, do you get much more for your money? Also my laptop has a webcam built-in and a wireless voip phone thingy(which I don't know an awful lot about and i haven't got round to setting up) so I presume I wouldn't need any other hardware.

I use Skype as well. You just need a camera (and obviously microphone and speakers!). The software is free. Works well.
