If we win there'll be about 430 on the pitch at the end.

To win just twice

We know that after this brief spell, it could be another lifetime - if ever - before we're at this level again.

I'm afraid not - it will be on Shannonside but the Leitrim final starts at 3.25, so you'll get the first half of the first half and most of the second. There will be a DVD at some stage (if our luck holds we may end up doing it as a box-set with 2016) and the Cooper might be the man to ask.

All the best out there and hope all are well.

Final call of the board for 2017, assuming no draws:

Paddy Power (http://www.paddypower.com/bet/gaa-sports/gaa-football/longford-senior-football-championship?ev_oc_grp_ids=112918):

Mullinalaghta 7/2 3/1 5/2 7/4 13/8 8/11 5/6 1/2
Abbeylara 15/2 13/2 11/2 6/1 5/1 7/4 6/4

Boylesports (http://www.boylesports.com/betting/sports-a---z/gaa---football/club-football/longford-sfc-2017/?navigationid=24.1,86196.1,86603.1,2941616.1):

Mullinalaghta 3/1 5/2 13/8 4/6 4/5 2/5
Abbeylara 7/1 15/2 6/1 5/1 9/4 15/8 7/4

Ladbrokes (https://sports.ladbrokes.com/en-gb/betting/gaelic-football/gaelic-football/club-football/2017-longford-senior-football-championship/225065985/):

Mullinalaghta 3/1 7/4 15/8 7/4 13/8 8/13 4/5 1/2
Abbeylara 8/1 7/1 6/1 13/2 11/2 11/5 15/8 6/4

I'd make the gap a good deal narrower than that myself.

Still and all, when I started posting on this version of the board back in 2006, we were an intermediate team who had won two championship matches - against Grattans and Legan - that summer before being knocked out in the semi-final against Ardagh; the first championship matches we had won at any level in six years. Time moves on, for good or ill. Another decade and the wheel will have revolved further.

All the best to panc and Qwerty for tomorrow, but not too much of it.

It would restore your faith in football after the disgrace that was the AIF

Hard day elsewhere for the small clubs with Castlerahan and Borrisileigh losing to the empire.

Amazing achievement by 450 people.

2 in a row! Like the 18 bus.....you wait ages for one and two come along.

Well done to the Mullinalaghtas..........it seemed to bit of a niggly sort of affair - but that's hardly a surprise.

Hopefully the lads can go a few steps further in Leinster this year.

Congrats to the half-parish - some achievement.
