Celtic will play 3 at home (Hearts, Dundee and Sevco) and 2 away (Kilmarnock and St Mirren). Some weekend that but it's not as significant as made out, they win 6 games they win the league. The only thing is they have to beat us at CP and can't afford another slip-up.

Ohh right...

You don't have to be a mastermind to work out the 3 teams who are in the mix to win SAM...Dublin, Kerry and Derry. Kerry and Derry would be similar in levels with Dublin just ahead.

The chasing pack...well take your pick, anyone of 7-8 teams can make a semi final.
Galway if they get their main players fit
Mayo if they lift that damn curse...lol
Tyrone if they can be more consistent (hopefully not...lol)
Armagh if they can get some luck on the day
Donegal if they can get their injured players back fit for Championship
Rossies with a bit of luck
Cavan just like a bad fart, can't seem to get rid of them easily and linger around.
Cork can be dangerous and bloody someones nose

It would be a major shock if the 2024 Sam Maguire winner does not come from the first 3 mentioned...Sin e

I feel your pain...We're for Spain at end of the month (Cycling) and between a cold and a chest infection and the rain every other day it's impossible to plan anything or prepare properly for it.
We got a great last week of May and first week of June last year and I believe it has rained every other day since that

I suppose Armagh will be favourites for this game and rightly so but anything can happen in Ulster Championship, Fermanagh are tight and normally hard to beat in Eniskillen but i expect Armagh to win by 3-4pts. Probably only pulling away last 10 mins.
What is the crowd capacity at Brewster Pk?. Are they expecting a full crowd?. I'll probably miss the 1st 10-15mins as I can only leave home at 1 for a 2:00pm throw in so will be tight for me too. Hopefully by the time I arrive 1:50 ish the crowd will be in and I can get up close to the ground.

Regarding the decisions from the Ref in the game, it's really difficult to decide when you have a Celtic bias and green tinted specs on even though you try to be reasonable about it. Sevco fans say the complete opposite so is the truth somewhere in the middle?. From my eye test i feel we got shafted...5 early bookings which had an impact, the foul count was like a 3:1 ratio in their favour and we're the ones playing all the football. Silva rolled about and dived the whole time he was on the pitch looking to get someone sent off, their penalty was shocking and the defending for the 3rd goal from Yang was a disgrace TBH and he needs a qer kick in the bollocks from BR for the lack of effort.
BR put Calmac and Yang on and tbf to him I agreed with them changes at the time as it looked like to me our midfield were tiring and losing its grip on the game so what better man than Calmac to come on and take control of the game and slow it down to suit us but it totally backfired, Calmac was well off the pace and gave the ball away for their goal. Ironically deflecting off him from the shot and Yang's lack of effort for the 3rd goal. He clearly wasn't fit and Barnado was the guy who should have come on earlier...Hindsight.

A few have already stated...yesterday feels like a defeat after the position we had ourselves in, when the dust settles it will show that a draw was not a bad result and that it is in our own hands and having them at home will be an advantage but no guarantee.
It's not just Scotland (although it is worse up there) but VAR is ruining the game, this software can be manipulated to suit an agenda. The lines can be thickened for offsides, they can cut the image/video short to show what they want you to see. A still image of a tackle will always make it 10x worse looking than the actual real life footage.

McGregor trained today but they're giving him until tomorrow's session to make a call on him, they know at this stage if he's going to feature or not but they're obviously keeping their cards close to their chest and giving nothing away to Sevco. My only concern is if he makes it you will have 2 from 3 midfielders only back from long term injury and that will need factored in. I've a feeling the midfield 3 will be Iwata, Hatate and O'Reilly with Cal Mac on the bench hoping not to use him

Quote from: illdecide on April 05, 2024, 09:48:06 AMYou men are some craic...you have Derry v Armagh in the final with Derry winning pulling up...

Armagh will be lucky to get out of Brewster Park next weekend and if they're lucky enough to win that they more than likely will play Down who always give Armagh their fill of it and if that match was in Newry i'd not be over confident going there with our record. Derry will have 2 really hard games to get to the final and as much as they're a great team I believe we have seen their full hand over the last while where other teams are not or have not been at full throttle yet or injured players due back. Derry are good but I still put Dublin and Kerry above them come July time and Ulster teams may well catch them on the hop too, they're not as good as everyone is making them out to be...A couple of aging players with some miles in the legs and a great man marker for McGuigan can go a long way to beating them.
Another cliché, showing their hand because they played well. Did Dublin show their hand when they beat Kerry by 10 points. I've heard people say Dublin aren't fully at it yet but the week before people were going to hand them Sam in March. As for aging players, i'd argue our age profile is very good. McKaigue obviously is old but he looks in great form this season. Rogers, McKinless and McFaul around 29 and the rest of the team are all early to mid 20s.

Derry are practically full strength and are doing well, my point being Dublin had 4-5 players still to come back into that team and Cluxton will find his man 99/100 for certain possession. Dublin will only get stronger. Kerry will improve too come late summer so that was my thinking from my earlier comment. Derry are the best team in Ulster from my eye test but are beatable and being in the tough side of the draw it could have an effect on them, only takes a suspension and an injury or two to do the damage.
Armagh will not win the All-Ireland but they can bloody someones nose on the way and can win Ulster if their luck is in.
If i'm ranking Ulster teams i have...
1) - Derry
2) - Armagh
2) - Tyrone
2) - Monaghan
2) - Donegal
6) - Cavan
7) - Down
8) - Fermanagh
9) - Antrim

Armagh, Tyrone, Monaghan and Donegal are all similar levels and capable of beating each other and if it falls right for them on the day with some luck can beat Derry too. If i'm honest Antrim are 9th but Cavan, Fermanagh and Down are similar level too but that level is below the level  of the quartet mentioned.

Sorry Lubo but he's not, he likes to portray that image but deep down he's just like the rest of them.

The only saving grace is the match is live on Sky Sports with the World watching and they know Sutton will destroy them for blatant cheating...hoping this will deter them a bit as we will still get rid but hopefully not as bad
