Nah unfortunately it's clowns like you that creep out of your hole every day that still believe  the world is flat.

I'm not usually one for cancel culture but the 2 O'Shea's should be removed from their roles as pundits for their comments on Tyrone and Covid over the weekend.

What did they say ?
Let no-one say the best hurlers belong to the past. They are with us now, and better yet to come

Michael Murphy  was not enamoured with the distasteful comment from  a bad  winner.
Today the other brother followed suite with the similar  comment  on Rte.ie
Cantwell made a half  attempt to brush  it off. As a laugh

The 3 games in 3 weeks, Banjaxed three out of the four teams on the weekend.

Agreed, a chara, very difficult shift!  >:(

Seen it as issue as soon as the fixtures was published in December. Will HQ have the common sense to change that next year?
Nope, next year instead of the moaners moaning about X games to eliminate 4 teams, they might concentrate on how important it is to top your group.

I'm not a big fan of round robin for GAA, but the 3 teams qualifying was spot on. Hardly any dead rubbers, and while games weren't life and death, they pretty much all had meaning. We wanted more games, we didn't want dead rubbers, this system gave us the best answer. And 12 teams entered the KO stages, so lots of knockout games too

Have no great problem with the group stage was improvement on the "super 8" and only had one team (Clare) who had a dead rubber in round 3.  3 of the 4 Prem Quarter finals went down to the wire so that was success but it doesn't take much to tweak things to give every last 8 team at least 2 weeks to prepare.  Kerry and Dublin still would have won their Quarter finals but the contests would have been a lot more competitive with the right scheduling.

Agree, the problem is the provincials and what to do with them. The round robin system is what we've been wanting for years, all teams to face broadly similar opposition before advancing to knockout football.
If a little extra jeopardy is needed we could tweak it so that only the best 3 3rd place qualifiers go through, with the best 2nd place team going straight into the quarters.

Aye right, deliberate, as in I'm illiterate!  ;)

Harsh! It was definitely a thing in a previous incarnation of this place. Any Fermanagh folk still here to back me up??  ;D

The round Robin was brought in at the same time as the season was compressed. It's a full compress. The 2 don't work together if the end result is a Dublin v Kerry final.
