David Clifford kicked 1-9 for Fossa in their 1-14 to 0-10 win over Listowel Emmets today, just a week after his All-Ireland win
How are Fossa a junior team if they have the 2 Clifford's. How bad must the other 13 players be

Sure did Moy not have like 4/5 on the County Panel at a stage languishing in Intermediate??

Jordan 2 Cavanaghs Holmes and Mellon?

Clan na nGael were in junior with Brian Dooher and Stephen ONeill.
Are you sure about that? More like they were in div 1 and now back in div 3 since the two players retired.

Clan were definitely a junior club when the 2 maestros were in their prime

Lads keep away from state-sponsored mainstream media.

Trust your own intuition, if things don't seem to add up.
I agree and came out other side of pandemic fine , unvaccinated but miraculously alive

Many didnít though :o

That's the difference Tommy, you were looking out for those around you as well, not just yourself.
Yes I certainly am looking out for those around me by taking exception to the proliferation fast food joints during the last few years when obesity and T2 diabetes correlate with worst Covid outcomes. NHS spends 10billion and rising annually on treatments we are all paying taxes for when diet education protocols would fix most of it at a fraction of the cost.

OK, good to hear

GAA Discussion / Re: Kerry Cynical Play

'insert county name' cynical play... Thread must have been started by someone who watches very little football

'Kerry would argue that they themselves were unfortunate to have a free scored against them in the 64th minute when Gavin White performed a perfectly legal shoulder on Cillian McDaid. The problem with that is McDaid collided into Jack Barry and as the Galway midfielder was sandwiched and had no opportunity to fall from the tackle it was a free.'
.. taken from Brian Gavins' 'Referee Review' in the examiner

Has anyone any idea what rule prevents a player from shouldering someone if they do not allow for the recipient to 'fall'
Or this just 'made up' nonsense?

Plucked from the sky. Shoulder to shoulder obviously allowed for in the rule book, anything after isn't covered / mentioned

You don't get many chances to win an AI outside of Kerry/Dublin monopoly. Sunday was a missed opportunity for Galway. Dublin out of the way and a volatile Kerry group. Nothing is guaranteed for this Galway group. and the includes the minimum of Winning Connacht next year. I noticed Paul Conroy was the only Galway player not smiling coming onto the pitch at the homecoming in Pearce Stadium. He knows this. Many Galway players will have entered celebrity status this year. Players who were unknowns are now recognised on the street. How they deal with this will be a big factor. I'm not a big fan of homecomings for losing teams. Acknowledging a loss with fanfare can send out the wrong message and subliminally feel players can feel ok about losing and ''sure we did our best'' becomes the slogan and a theme.

Kerry players fear not going back with Sam Maguire and the talk after winning is that of Relief. Relief that they will be able to walk the streets in Kerry with their head held high.

From the Joe Brolly handbook ie respect and self worth only comes from winning.

this is one are stats dont tell the whole truth  if derry had to play a 14? at minor it probably says more about th dery setup than mcNicholl.
another way of judging it is players who played senior on the same day like Benny coulter or paddy McBrearty and indeed Wille joe padden( and a few more)

the best minor player i have seen was Kyle coney Tyrone. looked a dead cert to be a superstar but it just didnt really happen for him

It really isnt  ::)

They won ulster and reached the AIF

Read before you type

No way! Just start typing to blazes, better craic

The McNicholl stats are mind blowing. There's footage on YouTube, or there used to be, possibly from UTV, of McNicholl training as a youngin, incredible strong from a young age

Congrats Farr, and a big thanks to GBM5. Serious effort. Enjoyed the craic

I donít think Rian OíNeill was the second best midfielder this year.

Gallagher, for a deep thinker like him, was poor tonight.
Highlights there was few real stand out midfielders this year, the way the game is gone suppose. McDaid wasn't really either, was as much helping out in defence and scoring or creating that playing in midfield.  He's a natural wing half back.

Rory Gallagher was very poor but won't get the criticism from thewobbler as he wasn't wearing a dress.

Why?

Enjoyed the game, Walsh and Clifford are a joy to watch, incredible footballers. Hurson is a superb ref.

As a wise man once said 'you're selling a car from the day you buy it'. Get the dealer to service and stamp it, then take their list of requirements to your local mechanic

The ride from Brandon McNulty today has to raise eyebrows, he's shown nothing like that form so far. To set that pace and break records is definitely suspicious, hopefully not and he's just been saving himself 🤔

Suspicious, surely they are all doping? Haven't watched the tour in a while, dip in and out these days. Are the times a fair bit slower than when Armstrong was winning?
