Left to their own devices we'd have blue on blue and red on maroon every week. Horrible to play in. Horrible to watch.

If it was up to me, every club and county in Ireland would have an all white away kit, and would wear it every time they play away.

Any club or county that plays predominantly in white would just have to wind their necks in an accept that this is for the greater good.

All white will go down well with the mammies doing the washing.

I got ridiculed on twitter last year for saying there was a colour clash in the Ulster final. Derry should of been wearing white too.

It was fine at the game I thought but remember watching highlights after and there was definitely a clash on tv.

I was thinking after it was it as bad on the screen with Down and Armagh?

County football has to be seen as a product to view and if you can't easily spot the difference between 2 teams that's bad. Soccer and rugby are now starting to make colourblind clashes change - like Ireland and Wales. I can understand some clubs not having a change kit but at county level it should be worked out well in advance.

Absolutely. Armagh Derry was a hard watch , colourwise

A different colour of shorts for one team   doesn't make it any easier. Both  need to change  shirts

burns suggested that all county championships should have or recommended to have same format.

The hurling league (possibly more so division one) was no more than friendlies this year.

snoopdog

Could they use div 1 in the hurling league as some championship incentive. Most of the Munster teams are in it anyway. The league is like a mini munster championship. Get rid of this cup that provincial. Before they know it they will have very few games.

And that's the way the top teams wanted it.

The previous iteration of the league at the top level was far more cut-throat with proper relegation etc etc and they went and changed it.

imtommygunn

It was great and no call to change it too.

Captain Scarlet

In Gaelic football in general there is always a need to ne seen to want to change it. Change the rules and a good county manager will find a new way to play and negate it.

Change the season, change the format. Even at club level sometimes there is a system that works and then it gets thrown out for no reason, other than to be seen to do something.

I think that the split season has to stay but tweaks and more time needed. At county level the provincials are the biggest issue.

The league tends to be good, and look at all the finals produced somme kind of excitement. In the Provinces Leinster and Munster Finals are going to be terrible. Connacht is tighter but no side is flying.

Ulster is competetive, but then when the teams don't go all the way the provincials are blamed for being so hard to get through...

Also, when it comes to the clubs, the vast majority can start their championship in July when their county side are out anyway. That was a big issue pre split.
A team gets kncoked out in July and yet no serious club games till end of August for no reason...
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

It's strange to have leaves bursting out knowing that by the time the conkers appear the finals will be very old news.
