Is there a fair chance that had this vaccine been announced 2 weeks ago Trump would still be in the Whitehouse??

Sobering thought about how fickle it can be!

johnnycool

Is there any truth that the Trumps booked a garden centre instead of the Four Seasons hotel in Philly for a press conference?

Trump tried to force the FDA to authorise it before the election but they stuck to their guns that nothing can happen until monitoring of the last patient in the Phase III trial is complete.

Haha

That's not exactly what happened but it's close enough

Trumps people picked a place near the count center, but away from the Biden supporters  to hold the press conference-and that place was in fact the Garden Center

Trump must have misheard and tweeted out that they were holding it at the hotel, then deleted the tweet a few minutes later

One side of the garden center was a sex shop, and the other was a crematorium

So why did they pick that particular location? Has a real strong whiff of incompetence by team Trump

Are you implying that they intentionally booked the garden centre?  ;D Clear as day that its a major gaff.

You didn't ask any question worthy of reply - but we have established your sneering contempt for the working class and students

Ordinary people and education are two things right-wingers generally despise, so your views are not at all surprising

Your idea of the working class includes rich brats paying for their crystal meth from their daddies' trust funds. And smelly "students" who wouldn't know a working class person if they bit them on the ass.

Education? LMAO.

I actually follow some socialists and marxists on Twitter....you know, the types who firebomb police cruisers and spit it cops faces

Anyway there's  one girl who's father is a doctor in Boston and she grew up in a $2-3M house in Brookline, MA

She was a theater major, so I'm sure she's earning <$50K per year. I wonder if her "Brooklyn lifestyle" is being heavily subsidized by mammy and daddy
The plural of anecdote is not data.
The bottom 90% of Americans own 7% of the wealth. That's why socialism is making a comeback,

Agree with that. The socialism that America will get wouldn't pass as socialism elsewhere but baby steps forward would be better than swings between left and right.

While I'm here Seafoid, did you ever find out what war Kier Starmer was in favour off?

What's the percentage if you exclude children, students and the under 50s who haven't been working long enough to clear their mortgages?

Not sure

Some of the reasons being bandied about

It is owned by a Trump supporter

It is in a Trump supporting neighborhood surrounded by neighborhoods surrounding Biden

There was a large contingent of Biden supporters already at the count center and so wanted to have a gathering as near as they could while at the same time  avoiding conflict

Either way it was a PR disaster

Edit:

According to Twitter

"An answer to the Four Seasons Total Landscaping mystery: the company told me the Trump campaign contacted them today out of the blue ahead of the Giuliani presser and said their location was close to an exit on I95, and was secure, and that's why they wanted to use it."

I don't think so.

A lot of Trump supporters don't seem to give two fucks about the virus.

Most people who do care or have been affected will have seen his appalling and irresponsible conduct to date with respect to the outbreak, both in practice and in rhetoric, and would rightly give him little or no credit for any vaccine progress.

Just look at today. Instead of getting out there amidst record breaking numbers of cases and trying to lead the country, he's engaged in a self-pitying, evidence-free, charade before the courts, but mostly the media, to cast doubt on the election and further increase tensions. He's going down, but he's going to try to bring everyone else down with him.

You'd have to wonder when he is going to see the light and jettison Giuliani, who has been nothing short of an unmitigated disaster for Trump.

Maybe Rudy has something on him. Or just feeds his needy ego in the right way.

John Taylor Kilclooney on Twitter. He's managed to get "the Indian" trending on American twitter. He might find he's out of his depth at senior hurling.

Has that old bigoted f**ker not been put out to pasture yet?

Haven't heard of him in years.
