The GAA discussion section has suddenly sprung to life. It feels like a sporting spring. Names from last summer are suddenly  being bandied about again. Newspaper sports sections are interesting after not being so for 6 months

Low scoring in dome at half time. Mayo 0-6 London 0-5.

Big and shock result for London.  Result London 0-12 Mayo 1-8.
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

Rochford/McHale no doubt had their A and B squads playing challenge games on grass somewhere.

Presume you mean McStay. McHale left after last years championship - "completely different philosophy on football" I believe the reason was.

Yep meant McStay alright.😳

Only saw the second half of this but, whether it was Mayo's A B or C team, London did very well considering they were against 16 the whole of that half. London very well organised and Mayo's shooting as bad as ever. Only Mayo forward worth the name was man of the match for London.

Mayo need to peak at the right time and ignore  wins when they don't matter . That has to be the goal this year after what happened last year They beat Kerry before it counted and Kerry got to the all Ireland final.

Not sure about peaking especially nowadays in such a congested season but the round 3 group game was the killer for Mayo. It was directly into the last 8 had Mayo avoided defeat against Cork and up against a team that would be playing their 3rd match in 3 weeks in the last 8. The manner of the defeat was bad also out scored 1-6 without reply in the final quarter v Cork.

On the defeat to London yesterday I can imagine plenty of starters will have ruled themselves out from featuring much if at in the upcoming NFL.

Galway need to peak at the right time and ignore wins that don't matter. That has to be the goal this year after what happened last year. They beat Tyrone before it counted and Mayo beat them in a playoff.

Don't worry about us. We had terrible injuries last year. We have better forwards than Mayo after a long period of inferiority .

Will Galway and Mayowestros obvious disdain for the Bubble Cup mean it goes back to grass next year or is abolished along with the O'Byrne etc?

John Prenty must have thought he was creating a money spinner when Connacht Gaa moved FBD matches indoors. How many will attend or pay 10€ for a stream to watch Leitrim and development Galway panel in action?

McStay and Joyce have clearly opted for outdoor challenges instead as they prepare for the upcoming NFL. For next year if the pre-season competitions are still in place will the penny drop for Prenty or will he remain stubborn.
