No luck today. Hittin woodwork twice. Bit of fight at least. Agree about Bruno tbh
Should have got a red card also imo.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Bruno gets a free ride due to the impact he made during his first year at the club. Anyone can have a bad game but how he got awarded a new bumper contract of £380k/week a month ago is beyond me. As a reward for what exactly and who made that decision when there wasn't even a manager at the club. The club is run like a madhouse.

How come Ronaldo isnt on penalties
because bruno has scored 21 and only missed 2(now 3) pens for united

Was Ronaldo not on pens earlier in the season ? Strange decision to switch at this point.

Another unsurprising defeat though could and should have at least drawn that game. No one to blame but themselves for not doing that. First two goals total gifts to Arsenal. At 2-1 more than enough opportunities including a missed penalty to level it and then Arsenal score a 3rd against the run of play.

Objective one for Erik, clear out the dead wood and egos, replace them with competence. Have a team that at least makes the opposition work hard to score against you and take it from there.

Totally agree. Bruno  has been dreadful since start of 2021 . Typical utd. Dreadfully run.

If Ronaldo is at your club Ronaldo hits the penalties. Bruno fast adding himself to the list needing a kick up the hole.

Ronaldo has scored 2 missed 1 since returning to United. Im still more than happy for bruno to be the number 1 penalty taker. he pulled us out of some rough situations last 2 years

Probably some idea about 'protecting value'. Been at this craic of tying up players with undeserved contracts for years now. Wouldn't be that surprised were Pogba to land a nice juicy three year extension in the next few weeks.
Doc would listen to any kind of nonsense and change it for you to a kind of wisdom.

Don't see PP fitting into the style Ten Hag has played previously with his other clubs.

In fact I dont see many of that type of player in the current squad. Bruno will be safe as a number 10 because in fairness he does work hard.

TH prefers a front 3 who all press a long with the 10 so it is going to be a huge change for the front players from the current set up.

See a lot of stuff from the weekend that the players are just ignoring Ralph now, think that tells you all you need to know about the current group. Ole mustn't have gone far enough in the culture reset. I dont think TH will have any issue with this, it will be his way or no way, which has been needed for a long time now.

'It will be his way or no way....'  Where have we heard this before?  Van Gaal and Jose tried that and it didn't work, Ole didn't have the charisma to make it work, Moyes was ok but a real rabbit in the headlights. From top down to the players there's a real problem with United. Ten Haag has been in a club where there is a definite culture, players built from the kids up, no expectations as they will generally do well in holland no matter what and anything in Europe is a bonus. With United he'll have 2-3 wins and the Salford run media will be running there hands with glee a la Rio and next thing the juggernaut is running. 2-3 bad results later and the wheels have fallen off. Rinse, repeat. I reckon we will be here in 2024 having the same conversations

That has always been the case with United, its part of the job and he will have to learn quickly to handle that. But going from what I have listened too and read about him he is very much his own person and is meticulous. So a few of the players will self select that the style doesnt work for them and will leave.

United fans will be happy with a team that they can like and see that they are working hard which is a minimum to begin with. After this current crop who are hard to like getting that base level will be a success.

Ronaldo linked to Bayern. if it happens it brings the needing a new striker issue to head this summer on top of pretty much every other part of the pitch....

Ghost

Great goal from Ronaldo in what was another abject performance from Utd. The new manager has a massive job on his hands to try and turn this around.

Compared to recent games at least a bit of effort was given 2nd half. A more clinical Chelsea would have that game wrapped by half time. Uniteds last 9 goals, 8 from Ronaldo  and one from Fred.
