General discussion / Heading to Oz

Just booked flights to australia.headin to thailand for a month then going to travel round oz for as long as possible before getting a job!!have never been "backpacking" (don't like that word) before and would appreciate any advice/tips from some more well travelled posters!!advice on anything is welcome..what to pack, where to go etc etc  cheers  ;D

i hope kasabian are on before killers-the killers new stuff is brutal.so is most of their old stuff come to think of it..mr brightside is quality though

there definitely was a row in the showers after an errigal/dungannon game in oneill park but don't know if any furniture was involved!! PTG ended up with a broken jaw though
