Some absolute filth playing for United these days. They are further away than ever. 3-1 flattering to them in the end.

Quote from: RedHand88 on March 03, 2024, 04:21:08 PMTheres our Haaland. Scores 5 against Luton. But when his team are getting it tight he does that.

Don't know what he was at. Can't see Utd holding on here. Backs to the wall stuff. Surely only a matter of time.

Is the young lad Ben Doak injured? At the start of the season a lot of Liverpool supporters had high hopes for him. You'd have thought with all the injuries and young lads being involved he'd have been featuring given the hype at the start of the season.

*Sorry quick google says he had a bad knee injury and needed surgery.*

Antony and Amrabat are diabolical. Rashford walking about like a spoilt child all night.

Real lack of quality all round.

2nd Black card was soft but it's brainless to be attempting any sort of tackle like that so far away from your own goal.

Time wasting on black cards is a stain on the game. Everybody's at it. Black card timer should be stopped for injuries and that would soon cut out the bullshit

Quote from: RedHand88 on February 11, 2024, 09:47:07 PMNo essentially. They changed it so that the only way the team in 5th gets a spot is if that team won the champions league in the same year.

That's incorrect. With the rebranding of the champions league next year, there are more teams involved and so to fill them spots some of the bigger leagues are going to get an extra spot and that will be determined the league Co-efficient in the uefa standings. Currently England are 3rd with the top 2 getting an extra spot (Germany and Italy I believe) so it essentially could come down to city getting a good run and/or Liverpool win the europa giving England a 5th spot
Bit daft that Italy are higher given 3 English CL winners in last few years

I might be completely wrong with the ranking of the countries in the Co efficient but think I heard it one of the podcasts I listen too. They talked about how Newcastle and Utd finishing bottom of their groups had a big factor with the Champions league being weighted higher than the europa league

Only watched the first half today and a bit of the 2nd but having watched the France game and what I saw today it begs the question why Crowley wasn't an option to replace an out of gas sexton against the all blacks

Also luke shaw a fantastic player when fit but he's become so unreliable with injury. A new LB is needed to help manage the load because I don't know what is wrong with Malacia.

Thought ETH bringing McTominay on was very negative especially when Rashford looked to have the beating of Cash without standing out but mctominay for all his faults has a good habit of scoring. Not a bad habit to have.

If the 5th place gets a champions league spot then Utd are bang in it if they show some consistency. Villa look like they could crumble.

I was worried about Hojlunds lack of goals but he's starting to come good. Long may it continue.

Maguire deserving Motm

Quote from: Sportacus on February 02, 2024, 10:35:27 PMJeffrey has got away with it so far, but there is no question the Irish Sea border remains.
Everyone's a winner I suppose.

Jeffrey has seen some common sense and realised that he was going to have to compromise. Hard to know if he truly believed they were going to get everything  they wanted or was he just holding out for a some what acceptable deal.

The likes of Bryson, Allister etc... aren't stupid either. They know this deal is as good as they are going to get. They plain and simple don't want a SF FM. This is just a smoke screen.

Maybe saying he's under pressure for his place was a bit over the top. Although I do feel it's probably time to move away from him as the being the go to man for the oppositions most dangerous forward.

He's probably still worth his place for his experience marking one of the "lesser" forwards. Lesser obviously not the right term as you're going to be marking a quality player at this level but hopefully you catch my drift.
