Are we all braced for the Feile/Tones outrage in the morning - Nolan will be filling his boots.

I genuinely couldn't care less and have joined in with singing the celtic symphony manys a time but would it not be best for the organisers to step in and ban that particular song given the amount of negative publicity it generates.

Been sung for years but the fake outrage now is a joke.

Nationalists should not be taking lectures from that mob.

Awh I know the outrage is mostly fake but there's probably a validity to it when it's happening at a publicly funded event.

This summers recruitment has been shocking. It was clear to be seen that the squad needed upgraded last season. Knowing McTominay and Fred weren't a competent midfield pairing with the departures of Matic, Pogba, Lingard and Mata added to the mix. To fix this they've brought in Eriksen on a free and are now going to have scurry round in the next few weeks trying to get anybody they can, if they can convince them to join.

Add into the mix the departure of Cavani and the exile of Greenwood its the bare bones up front too....Ten Hag far from blameless here too, he spent his time on a 5ft9 centre half and a substitute LB

I know Luis Diaz was there 1st choice and he's been brilliant for Liverpool so far but your man Kulusevski has been some signing for spurs. Not a bad second choice.

Where does tierney sit in the pecking order with zinchenko in there ? He looks very useful.

Read somewhere that Zinchenko has aspirations of playing as one of the CDMs like he does for Ukraine so if Tierney could get up to speed keep himself fit it could free Zinchenko up to play in there.

Any particular reason for the diesel coming down now and can we expect it to go up again anytime soon?

Eriksen didn't look done for Brentford this year.

Meant that to say he wasn't done in response to Hounds earlier post.

I like McIlroy and he has a lot of haters on here, but what's the deal with Sky calling him the greatest player of his generation? Is that not a bit OTT at this stage of his career or is it to do with all the defections to LIV?

Definitely not writing him off, just it's against the norm for a CB.

Would say Eriksen is done either, he'll probably not play every week but Utd have lost Pogba, Lingard and Mata in that area of the pitch so cover was needed.

Agree with pulling the plug on the De Jong deal, even with Barca mad to get rid of him he's determined to stay on and get what he's owed....Reeks of Moyes chasing Fabregas all summer and ending up with Fellaini

Lowe, Aki, Gibson-Park, Treadwell, Hanson and Bealham I think, Carberry born in New Zealand but moved here at 7 so wouldn't count him as "foreign"

Never mind the fact that Carberryís parents are Irish.

*as well as a fair few on the football list no doubt but that wont stop MR2 (NI)
I would have thought most of the football list have Irish heritage, as in a parent, grandparent etc that was Irish. Are the rugby lads the same? Itís a genuine question as I donít really follow much rugby.

As far as I know in recent years CJ Stander, Aki, Lowe, Gibson Park and Kleyn have all qualified to play for Ireland through the residency rule...Rob Herring could be another, not certain on him and there's probably others I've missed but the likes.of carberry, bealham, hanson and Treadwell all have a parent/grandparent as you say.

Seems the deal to sign Martinez is more or less done. 5ft 9 very short for a CB so it will be interesting to see how he does in the Premier league.

Think Eriksen on a free is a great bit of business and really hope he does well after what he went through...

De Jong deal is a farce at this stage...

Not much talk of anyone coming in for Ronaldo with Chelsea ruling it out. Bayern ruled it out too but at that stage they were still trying to hang onto Lewandowski. Will he end up being forced to stay?

Ireland definitely guilty of overplaying it here. Would 3 points not have been a decent option a few times?

All Black's winger lucky not to see red too.

I'd be surprised if Utd bid for him now that Liverpool have expressed an interest especially as he seems keen to go there. Not a good look for Utd commercially that players are rejecting them for the likes of Liverpool and City.

Btw that's not the typical "we didn't want him anyway" because I'd be fairly certain utd do.

You seem to be arguing with yourself on that one

Not at all, just know how these forums normally work and that would have been the inevitable reply.
