GAA Discussion / Re: Rule Change Needed to Stop Puke Keep-Ball
« on: June 14, 2022, 01:52:37 PM »
Not a big fan of loads of rule changes but would something like for kickouts teams have to have all players in their position area for the kick, most likely there are ways this can be exploited, but just an idea

Was at the game and had to say it looked like goldrick wasn’t giving Tyrone much, that being said it wasn’t the winning or losing of the game, Tyrone tactics were awful, played safe football at all times and kickout strategy seemed to be non-existent. Armagh had a more attacking brand of football and weren’t afraid to take risks and it paid off, would like to see them kick on now and do a bit of damage in the AI series.

Dungannon v Ardboe seems to be the pick of the games tomorrow

Trillick and errigal obviously be a big one, but with both teams missing county players I wouldn’t see it being the game it would usually be

Who is manager of Brockagh this year?

Heard pat mc Nabb was taking a team in division 3, I thought it was urney, but having seen the urney manager give an interview in the herald I’m now sure that it is in fact brocagh he’s taking

Clarshack did drumquinn give yous a scare last night or did the score line flatter to deceive?

Here’s my predictions for this week, I assume strabane and drumragh games aren’t going ahead due to the under 21’s?

Urney v Glennelly

Augher v brocagh

Clan na gael v castlederg

Killyman v aghaloo

Drumquinn v stewardstown

Errigal 3rds v fintona

Brackaville v derrytresk

Strabane game is. Oran McGrath opted out of the panel after being omitted V Down.

Strabane to beat coalisland 3rds in that case

Listened to mark lynch on the gaa social podcast today, and he seems like a sound man. With himself and Sean Marty did banagher ever get close to winning a Derry championship?

Being a good club footballer does not equate to being a good county footballer, a lot of the kilcoo boys would have an inflated idea of what effect they’d actually have on the county scene however strangely enough they wouldn’t risk actually giving it a go, Eugene Brannigan being one. What was said in that article was a joke, stuck the boot in James mc cartan who he has nothing to do with, and who’s done a lot more in football than any of the current kilcoo players.

Division 3 starting in just over 2 weeks, who are the favourites, hard to look past stewardstown or strabane for myself
