I agree though with the points.  Loughmacrory are a serious seasoned group, well coached and full of football, as also are, Errigal, Dromore, Dungannon, Carmen, Killyclogher, Trillick, Ardboe, Omagh and Coalisland who would be on everyones lips to win the thing. Don't see that changing anytime soon.
Favourites: Errigal Ciaran
Main Contenders: Dungannon, Trillick and Dromore
Hard to see any winners outside of those four.

Mad take. I'll save this one for October
Who else do you capable outside of the 4? As in string together 4 consecutive wins
Carrickmore for me have to be in the favourites discussion. Id like to hear why you think they shouldn't. Beaten in last years final and won a league two years ago.
A championship run of beating Coalisland (missing three best forwards) Loughmacrory and Clonoe doesn't strike me as genuine outright contenders. They haven't beaten any of the established bigger teams in my eyes to be considered ahead of them.
If I was picking an upset for the championship first round it would most likely be Edendork nipping Carrickmore in my opinion.
🤔🤔🤔🤔
Good thing I'm not a betting man lol. How we played the first 12 league games had me fooled

Obv we don't see what's going on in training - it's a selfish point of view here from a fans perspective - but we have a monster of a man in mcgleenan on the bench, why is he on the panel if we won't use him?

Jesus he's a colossus, in at 14 with one or both canavans and McCurry round him for the break, you'd imagine it's worth a try.

Would definitely give other teams something to think about. If it didn't work he could always be subbed off and revert to type.

Mc gleenan hasn't dominated in any club game I've seen him in as of yet, why would he be able to do it in county?

When did you see him playing for the club?
Mcgleenan has played against Carrickmore a few times now, always seems to be matched up against one of our stronger runners and is left chasing shadows. Don't think he's the answer

Penrose took a hold on the game last year and Errigal finished on a sweat. Carmen undoubtedly should be in the top 2 contenders. There is so many good teams in the chasing back that all can give it a crack that it will be difficult for new blood to get up and in there for a few years. The championship know how and consistency is critical in Tyrone football. Of thatt chasing pack I think that Dromore team have plenty more in them and ran Errigal very close last year as well.

A Carrickmore side missing Johnny munroe also.

Any word on potential league start dates or even fixtures announced? Usually the Co. board have league fixtures released a good while before it starts.

Was it not mentioned on here a while back that is the second Friday in May as the start date. That is 8 weeks away yet

13th or 20th of May was quoted by Niall Gartland on Twitter a few weeks ago. Depends on how u20s do

Has Archie managed any high profile teams before? I know he's been a trainer in down and st Mary's, tally being the main man. Big difference from being a trainer and a manager

Looked a wide ball from sitting in the stand - would like to see it again in TV but from watching in stand looked wide. In saying that Dromore were poor enough, shooting stupid places and Errigal had more of a score threat. Don't see Carrickmore getting near them going by the other semi final

Like Culloville in Armagh, Carrickmore are a team that should have no right to be anywhere near any final as their football is pure doirt to watch. But they get there regardless!!

The first game against coalisland we played superb football. Last two games we've played two of the biggest "anti-football" teams in the county. They set up to prevent any sort of football being played, very harsh to criticise our style of football. Don't think our boys will mind going in as underdogs, suits us to the ground

Seems to be some questions about the eligibility of one of the Beragh players in last nights championship game
Beragh appealed against the Postman's ineligibility and won said appeal as far as I am aware

Who was the query over?

A player who played in America this year, ineligibility was overturned no story here

No one fancy carmen? Reigning League champions, sitting nicely for league playoffs. Apart from a few slip up against dungannon and killyclogher not much wrong. Wouldn't read into the game last week with coalisland both missing multiple starters, not wanting to show each other's hand.

What happened Carrickmore tonight? We're the missing many? Well beat by a mediocre Clarkes team

Clarke's were missing players 5 starting players as well, we weren't the only ones no excuses. Clarke's wanted it more, every breaking ball they were coming away with. Paddy quinn and donaghy put an exhibition on. Daly Jones for them had a great game also

Heard it was....

Edit by Mod5:  better to leave names out of it, especially when only hearsay.

Hear say? The coward done it in front of a couple of hundred people! He should be getting a lengthy ban.

Tbf I named the player but wasn't at game so only going on what I was told, might be wrong name cause there is any amount of likely candidates in that club, few of them should seek professional anger management before something really goes wrong with their wreckless behavior and ruin a lot of lives.

Right up until that moment it was a clean game nothing out of the ordinary, unfortunately a moment of madness will be all the game will be remembered for.
