For the faithful its like Celtic or Man Utd fans having their team playing in their home town! 37 years is too long a wait.
Where'd you hear that?

It's been reported through a few news outlets that there's a good chance the pope is coming to Dublin in 2018 for the Families Conference and he might pop up to Armagh as well.

Ah. Cheers.
See the Pope all the time at 12 0 Clock Angelus on Sundays in Rome. But nice to welcome him to the Orchard.Wonder will he get down on bended knee and beg.Tyrone to end puke football.
The minute he sees Armagh he'll probably high tail it as fast as he can back to Rome :o
He ruled out a visit to Roscommon due to lack of dry fields! 😂😂
We'd rather welcome the monks from Buckfast Abbey to be honest.

As the successor to the See of Peter, can he not walk on water, when required?

Had a look and found no one from the Church who even mentioned Armagh. A few sites speculated that he might finish what JPII started, but that's it.
This afternoon the Church in Ireland are downplaying his prospects of visiting Dublin apparently contradicting Diarmuid Martin.
But then Pope Francis has already been in Dublin. He was a Southsider for 3 months in the 80s.
He will go to Portadown and broadcast to all the catholics (in a special global broadcast *(urbi et buckfast) ) moaning about illness and stuff that it could be far worse
