Passively watched (while cleaning the kitchen) Bono and The Edge: A Sort of homecoming, with Dave Letterman.

The Bono ego has no bounds. The Edge is not far behind.

The documentary is geared toward it's main Audience - USA. Bono at one stage calls Secondary School, High School and then you know they can say what ever they like about Dublin and it will be taken as Bible. At one stage he says they were there for the Troubles. 

It's all naturally scripted and pre-planned and Letterman is a good pawn.

To be fair U2 know how to put on a show and all the money from this won't see sight or light of their precious Dublin.

It would have been much impactful if he said at the ceremony in front of Biden and denounced him for arming Israel and profiting from the genocide...

In an essay published in The Atlantic on Saturday to mark the award, Bono touched on the topic of freedom in the Ireland of his youth and in countries from America to Africa.

Writing on Gaza, he said: "Israel's prime minister for almost 20 years, Benjamin Netanyahu, has often used the defense of Israel's freedom and its people as an excuse to systematically deny the same freedom and security to the Palestinians — a self-defeating and deadly contradiction, which has led to an obscene leveling of civilian life that the world can visualize daily on their cellphones. Freedom must come for the Israeli hostages, whose kidnapping by Hamas ignited this latest cataclysm. Freedom must come for the Palestinian people. It does not take a prophet to predict that Israel will never be free until Palestine is free."

Bono is an absolute maggot whatever about these weasel words. Came out clearly last year in support of Israeli onslaught and now takes the soup with Genocide Joe knowing full well what the US has funded. And to somehow suggest Hamas 'ignited' this genocide after the years of landgrab and murder and oppresion Palestinians have suffered. F*** him.. a disgrace to Ireland.
