Newry to Portadown wouldn't take much longer than Newry to Armagh. Probably about 5 miles difference. Forkhill Killeavy etc just outside Newry.

About 50 miles to go. Pog getting twitchy, I'd say fireworks in next half hour. MVP minor crash earlier got back on within 5km

Quote from: SouthOfThe Bann on March 17, 2025, 04:04:37 PMIf Tyrone Armagh and Kerry win next week a team will be relegated on 7 points.

That's never happened before.

Be typical for it to happen to Armagh.

7.80 a pint

I've a few friends from the club that go every year, they start up their Cheltenham fund when they come back and head over.. Haven't seen any social media photos so far, so maybe the costs have gotten too much for them..

Though I've another friend who's retired has been over for the full week, with his missus (her first time), and strangely an ex gambler and ex horse owner, but still loves the sport, that nearly wrecked his life!

Bet responsibly  ;)

Any tips for the day?

Heard from a friend who knows owner of Hello neighbour and they are sweet on his chances. My own fancy for today is intense approach 3.20 ew. But what i know about this game you could write on a postage stamp
Good luck whatever anyone does today

Quote from: Eamonnca1 on February 13, 2025, 11:13:36 PMHe was a Special Branch agent too, by all accounts. That brother of his was another bad divil; I'll never forget the killing of Bernadette Martin in Aghalee that he carried out, and her only 18 at the time. Awful.

Which of them McKeowns would have been shot in the foot around Aug/Sept 1996 ? He was in same ward as my father in the hospital.

Grim news for fans of snooker, cycling and other sports as TNT costs £30.99-a-month

Quote from: lurganblue on January 17, 2025, 09:36:51 AMThe new rules leaves me not having a clue what to think here (some would say sure there's no change there  :P     )

Home games for Armagh will be massive.

One thing i'll be interested to see, is the goalkeeping situation.  Does Blaine Hughes lose out to Ethan, to allow him to be the extra man in attack? Hughes was outstanding last year and I dont want to detract from that. The rule changes have just presented an opportunity that Geezer may try to exploit, and I think Ethan might suit that better.

Ethan has serious kick from distance. Maybe a case for trying him as outfield player for the 2 pointers?

More airstrikes since ceasefire announced. Why couldn't they just say immediate cessation ? How many will be butchered between now and Sunday?

Thought CE no 11 McGee played fairly well. Did he ever get a look with the county?

Looking at forecast Armagh should escape high winds until about 8pm today. Newry tomorrow sunny but 45mph winds.

Quote from: Armagh18 on November 21, 2024, 09:15:54 PMIf you're into recovery- get a light jog, lake/sea dip, plenty of rest/sleep and lots of high protein food into you. The latter 2 being most important.

We don't want that sort of sensible talk in here! Just discussion on expensive gadgets to waste money on. Best turbo trainers? Some big money ones out there.

And...best reasonable (I realise that's subjective) turbo trainer, for a runner who has a bike and would like to do a day a week on it over the winter.

I'd be a runner and got a really good one for about 400 quid during lockdown. I am trying to find details and will post if I can.

There are a few places doing Tacx Flux S for £399, think normally over the 550 mark. Sigma sports is one, tredz as well i think

Finished 2nd season of Last king of the cross. Looks like set up for a series 3. Good show.
