Title: Great minds of our time
Post by: Hardy on October 27, 2016, 10:10:55 PM
I'll kick it off with the publication today of this body of research (https://www.rte.ie/news/2016/1027/827287-danny-healy-rae/) by a hitherto unheralded climatologist.

He has a point. Any Climate Agreement is pointless unless we get God to sign up.

It's straight out of a discussion in a pub. the gimp and everything. I suppose small farmers in Kerry have always been shafted.  It's his way of trying to stand up for them.

When Healy Rae talks it sounds like Irish. He reminds me of Aogán Ó Rathaille in "is fada liom oíche".

Opinion is the medium between knowledge and ignorance - Plato

I am firmly in opinion territory.

'you can't tax your way to properity'
'you can't regulate your way to prosperity'

The above are other people's straw man slogans, not opinions.

That leaves you in either knowledge or ignorance. Which is it?

You imagined I shot a 62 in Augusta, you are both far left left-wing and far right-wing, so I'm surprised you are surprised at anything.  ;D

Sorry lads, this was meant to be an opportunity for people to exercise their satirical muscles. Sadly, no Charles Atlases of wit have come forward. I close the thread in despair.
