Nothing unique in that. Some Mayo players have achieved the same feat in several finals.!! ;D

Hardly a major stat. Most defenders now never kick balls. In fact, bar kicking for a score you don't see much kicking from certain teams.

Very true. John Keane won an all-star in 2004 having only kicked the ball twice in his 6 games.

No player scored in all three All Ireland finals in the 00s for Tyrone but one player scored in three All Ireland finals for Tyrone.

Big Sean?

If you meant putting the ball betwixt the posts, PTG.

I'll go for Dooher on this one.

What about club teams that play in a neighbouring county?

How many of these are true:

Tubber (Offaly) play in Westmeath
Shinrone (offaly) play in Tipp
Riverstown (Tipp) play in Offaly
Graiguecullen (Laois) play in Carlow
Ballinabrackey (Westmeath) play in Offaly
Ballaghdereen (Mayo) play in Galway
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

The Mayo county song, 'Moonlight In Mayo', includes the lyrics:

I have to block out thoughts of you so I don't lose my head
They crawl in like a cockroach leaving babies in my bed

and many associate 'you' with Sam Maguire.

Recently, there have been calls to revert to their previous song - 'Fields of Athenry'.
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

two future internationals Gavin Duffy (rugby) and Damien Delaney (soccer) marked each other in the 1999 minor semi final cork v mayo.

Tubber play in Offaly (Ciaran McManus' club)
Shinrone play in Offaly
Riverstown are joined with Carrig to form Carrig and Riverstown, and yes they play in Offaly. Some bishop swapped Moneygall and Riverstown, so Riverstown hurl with Carrig in Offaly, and Moneygall play in Tipp. So while Barrack Obama is an Offaly man, he'd actually hurl for Tipp.
Ballinabrackey play in Meath I think.

Part of Graiguecullen is in Carlow, the majority of the parish is in Laois. They began their football existence in Laois but because of distance issues competed in Carlow for about 25 years up to and including the C/Final of 1926 which was marred by unruly scenes  :-X They then relocated once again to Laois and have remained there since. So to answer the initial query,
it's a no on this one.

Same for Castleconnor part of which is in Mayo but the majority is in Sligo but there story is intertwined with Ballaghdreen as in all of Castleconnor , Bonniconlon , Ardnaree and the Quay ( crocketstown) were in Co. Sligo when Ballagh was in Mayo. When Dillion got a cheaper deal of the Rossie co co and moved Ballagh into that administration, Bonniconlon , Ardnaree , the Quay and part of Castleconnor was moved into Mayo from Sligo. Castleconnor stayed in Sligo but there are some (neighbours of mine) Mayo people who have played Sligo county championship hailing from the Mayo part of the parish!!

Shamrock Shore

A Longford player in the 60s, acting as a banger for a club in Sligo, got called up to the Sligo team to play Longford in a League match.

He was picked as a half fwd on the Sligo team and, as he was already a half back on the Longford team, he was down to mark himself.

True story - or so I am told.

Rossfan

Another tale from the bicycle days - a Ros club was knocked out early on in the Championship so about 6 of them joined up with 2 clubs in  a neighbouring County no doubt using the names of lads who'd emigrated.
In those days there was usually only one Championship game per week.
Of course the 2 clubs got to their  County Final..........
So unlikely it's probably true.

Wasn't Christy Ring playing as a ringer on a UCC Fitzgibbon team and the lad he was marking asked what he was studying and he said "sums".

No Antrim player has scored in an AI final in ages.

I know last years U21 final wasn't pretty, but I'm sure you registered a score or two.
