General discussion / Re: LOST (TV Show)

Christian explained to Jack that everything was real, and that some people died before him and some people died long after him. But everyone in the Church had died.
Hume was some kind of soul collecter - bringing them all together at that point.. he was special
Faraday's mother asked Hume if he was taking her son (Daniel) with him and Hume said not now.
The only people in the Church were the people on the initial 815 flight.

2. Libellous/insulting posts about a real person
In this day and age, many more people are becoming aware of the existance of boards such as this. While this is generally a good thing, it also means that the posts are more likely to be read by a casual visitor to the site. In these circumstances, the board must protect itself against allegations of libel, or defamation and so any posts which make derogatory remarks about a named, or clearly implied, individual, are a serious breach of the rules, and dangerous to the board itself. This particularly applies to individuals' private lives, finances, legal issues etc etc. This also applies to unwarranted abuse of GAA players and officials.

I think you're are right sheamy,

that would make Derry clear favourites, they have been playing div 1 football all year, they have won the last few matches between the 2, and last but not least they are on home turf

derry by 5-6 points

Mind games, Onion Bag, mind games  ;)
Apart from the Qualifier Derry haven't beat Armagh in the Championship since the 20th Century

The more i think about this game, the more I think Derry are going to get beat.  Armagh have a settled side playing well. Whereas Derry have injury problems at the back, a midfield that has not performed recently at all, and a misfiring forward line that depends on a couple of individuals to make a difference. Armagh by 5pts

Mind games Estimator, mind games,

take a stab at the Derry team there available

No mind games at all.  Just an observation.
Derry will prob line out
Gillis
McBride
McGuckian
McAlary
McGuigan
McGoldrick(Barry)
O'Kane
Doherty
Patsy Bradley
McGoldrick (Sean Leo)
Kielt
Mullan
E Bradley
P Bradley
Lynch

Great individuals some of them
Great team - not at all.
Good team - every 2nd/3rd game
Bad team - see above

We usually do a session on items related to the training-topic that make 'the news' or that people (in general) are (or should be) familiar with.  For example, in environmental training we might ask the attendees to split up into three groups to identify environmental issues of significance: (a) globally, (b) nationally and (c) locally.  Each group would then report back and the trainer documents answers on a flip chart for each group - the report-back is thrown open for everyone to comment.  Usually we leave the local bit until last and it usually gets everyone involved.

How about painting a wall then sitting the group down to watch it dry?

Commentator = "Wonderful courage from both players"

Its almost identical to the Linden/Bellew incident a few years ago in the club championship (where Linden was moving to catch a ball dropping over his head and Bellew hit him) and I doubt anyone on here would mention courage or bravery.

So for any media, e.g. the bbc, who wish to blame the GAA for schoolkids who get a bit excited then they need to wise up. A bunch of schoolkids are not representative of a GAA fanbase.

Yes it is being totally blown out of all proportion too.

Isn't dragging the BBC into the debate about what they hypothetically haven't said blowing up the proportion of this?

This is an aspiring reporter who went to the game and latched onto a story. It's his blog and his perogative, but IMO if he wanted to practise his skills he could have reviewed the game itself or actually sought quotes from others at the game on their opinion of the St Colman's fans to find out if there was consenus on his take.

The real story yesterday was on the field, where an excellent school team played a Kerry team off the park.

So a school team beat a kerry team? Are you not doing the same as the blogger?
