Would say that we mightn't see top division football in Ballyroan for a while with relegation likely and the pitch torn to shreds after the festival

On your third point - just looking through the subs, I can only see one player who matches that description - Brian Corby. Good young player and probably doing well with the U21s. He is only out of minor so couldn't have played senior yet, it is not that he is of lesser quality than other lads. I would doubt that there are too many put out by it. By and large, our best hurlers are making themselves available for the team with the exception of Zane (as always).

The likes of Joe Campion, Gearoid Burke, Dayne Peacock would be a few more, i do accept your point about Corby been with the u21s

i thought that todays win was very good when you consider the players that have retired/injured/wont commit to the team. We pulled away in the 3rd quarter when the game was in the balance, and responded very well to the first goal. There are a few obvious conclusions out of todays game
1)Regardless of where cha is played he is by and far our best player and i would argue is more important to the team now than willie hyland/keenan ever were to laois
2)Rowland for all the talent in the world as a shop stopper is always in danger of making poor mistakes, also i dont think his puckouts are very accurate, but length wise cannot be dismissed, fleming would probably be a less spectactular but less error prone keeper
3)Having lads on the bench that are subs/on 2nd teams of senior clubs must be a massive slap to lads from senior b/inter/junior clubs, i know they are young and probably with the u21s but if you couldnt make your club team the year before you shouldnt be getting within an asses roar of the squad, they had young harnett on the bench too which was nice and he has played fitzgibbon wit CIT and Senior B with Ballyfin last year as a gales player from Mountmellick so hopefully the gales teams unearths a few more, because having subs from club teams on the bench is a bad reflection.

Overall a good win and hopefully more to come

Ewan McKenna who wrote that is a Kildare c*** who hates Laois so I'm not sure it's unbiased.
The same Ewan Mckenna who now resides in Brazil this week wrote a damning article about his own town , Athy and got slated for it locally. So anything he writes about laois is always tinged with an underlying hatred and jealously of laois people.

Jealous of what exactly?

Saw that camross only managed to beat Shanahoe Gales by 4 points in the Palmer Cup final yesterday with basically their first team out. Hard to know if they played badly or could the Gales team be able to challenge Ballyfin Gales and The Harps for senior B honours

have you ever considered the possibility that laois football isnt that good? o'flatherta, dempsey, micko, kearns, mcnulty, lillis and now creedon not good enough in the eyes of the supporters. Lets be honest the ratio of supporter demands/whinging to players ability is probably the worst in the country. I actually have the feeling that lads like yourself prefer the team loses so it gives you something to complain about. Relax a bit, it a game at the end of the day, just because someone have a different opinion to you doesnt make them a clown, the same way a person who has a simular opinion to you doesnt make them a genius. I suggest you may need more hobbies that dont upset you

so you want clancy to take over, a man with little managerial experience at club level never mind county level, and failed to produce one significant victory in his 2 years to date, even on clancy it would be unfair on him, long term we will see, graigue are a step up from ballyroan abbey and if he did well there you could talk about giving him an u21 job/selector role because its a process. If Laois's shooting was anyway decent the other night we would of finished the game off in the first 15 minutes and we'd be talking about preparing for a leinster final and the progress that creedon is having with the younger players. Instead they lose by a point and lost a couple of league games with a few experimental selections and you want the man ran? delusional.

weny to the ballinakill abbeyleix match yesterday as is thought it would be competitive after the disaster i witnessed that morning in the heath, total mismatch ballinakill missing a lot, but did notice they were playing 2 slieve margy players, meaning that the result might be the least of their problems

Ballinakill as in the Ballinakill Park Ratheniska Gaels u16 team?

Slieve Margey players are cleared to play in this amalgamation,if that's what your on about.

The Portlaoise u16's conceded their game also.

The 'Gaels' part should have been a giveaway.

No i meant the senior game that was in heywood yesterday
