Mark Cahill, Aaron Caroll, Aaron McEvoy, Lawson Obular all from Abbeylace..
Doyle from Ballyroan.

Abbeyleix would be probably a decent intermediate team by themselves
Ballyroan would be be basically where they were for the first 10 years of the amalgamation hoping between Senior and Intermediate

The lads that came through last year were probably the last of a good few successful underage teams, we would still get lads again but you won’t have 7 or 8 Senior footballers off 1 team like that crop

Port in a way is a great draw for us because we are plenty talented enough, its games like this that have to be won or at least competitive in if a breakthrough is ever going to happen

I’d be confident that breakthrough will come if not this year in the next couple as there is a lot of momentum behind us since covid

There's too many matches in the league, there is absolutely no need for there to be 14 league games in each the 2 divisions, Just have 8 team divisions 7 games each in all divisions bar the bottom division which could be divided into North and South (Because realistically a lad from Clonaslee isnt going to travel yo Graigue for Junior C etc), have county players available for 5 rounds, have games every 2 weeks alternating week to week between hurling and football  better to have half the matches with higher quality than double at a worse standard

Church in Abbeyleix and Spink is St Lazerians and the one in Ballinakill is St Brigids so where is St Patricks coming from

Were you not at the information night?

No, hence the question

No Abu it isnt i just enjoy the hurling as a game more and in fairness is very competitive inside of laois unlike the football, would have more family connections in trumera than any other hurling club, do pickas not get half their players from ballyroan or at least did before the abbeyleix arragement? i just think that you stick with your own and do your best with your own, now in your defense considering you have stated that if ballinakill and abbeyleix do join ballyroan are going into balljnakill to take players off spink and have complained why colt have a football team instead of letting them play with Ballyroan that concept might go beyond your understanding

If there was ever a time to put in a team made up of junior and intermediate clubs now is surely it, if they are serious about getting rid of the gaels teams these lads should still be provided with a platform to play at senior level, the last thing that should happen is that the likes of a kyle trumera ballypickas etc are used as feeder clubs for senior teams, but there is a posibility of that happening if you take away lads chances of playing with a gaels team and dont give them a platform to hurl at a higher level

Hopefully you can add Ballinakill and surrounding areas before long.

Basically why Ballyroan dont win despite our underage success, lads too busy focusing on poaching lads from other clubs than developing with what we have

Its as cowardly a move as has been seen in a long time, they have taken the easy way out instead of trying to take the final step, both have been to semi finals in recent years, i hope they remember that for every rathdowney/errill there is a harps also

I hear that Slieve Bloom pulled their lads from the u21 with Castletown this morning, once again the issues of jerseys appears to of been behind it. Lessons from the past dont appear to be learned

Well done to Portlaoise. On a separate note, any truth in rumour of a tie up between Abbeyleix and Ballinakill.

Being in talks the last few weeks, heard they were going well but hadnt got to the serious stuff at that stage

Ballyboden was a total sickener but last year not so much, I don't think Portlaoise were as good last year as they are now.
It was still left behind them. It was a tap in.

Jaysus when I think back on Boden, I nearly get sick meself. Michael Darragh f**king MacAuley scoring a goal, where would you see the life of it and he not fit to even solo a football.

Yes the man that has won 6 all irelands and a former player of the year managed to score a goal, shock horror.

If you believe MDMA was a worthy winner of FOTY then I just don't even want to know you anymore.

Darren Daly has 6 All Irelands by the way. Just saying.

Never said that but the reality is his main attribute was driving runs down the middle of defences, which would require the odd solo, you wouldnt say no to him for laois would you? Anyway i dont want to be arguing the pros and cons of Michael Dara McAuley to be honest, and i dont care if you want to know me i dont want to know you, thus why its an anonymos fourm

Going back to Sunday while Portlaoise were deserving of their victory looking at the negatives they did get 1-1 in the first half directly off goalkeepers mistakes whos replacement was a big improvement in the second half, Moorefield also got in for 2 good goal chances in the first half, also Moorefield pressed up in the second half on the Portlaoise backs which you would imagine Kilmacud will do for the duration of the game in Parnell Park, and Brody for as good as he is still has a major flaw under high balls. Maher was lucky to stay on too.

As for positives Ciaran McEvoy had as good a game as ive seen him play, the back were excellent bar Healy who struggled with O'Connor, Bruno won nearly everythjng that went to him, Rodgers got 1-2 for himself and felt it was harsh on him being taken off first, Glynn off the bench made a big impact too.

For the Kilmacud match id wonder will they consider putting Dillon back on Mannion considering how well he did on him in the Leinster final. I feel that Portlaoise will eventually have to beat a Dublin team, they are probably playing better now than they have for 5-6 years, and Crokes arent as strong as past teams from Dublin, especially Vincents. You would be hopeful that Glynn will be fit enough to go from the start the next day

alot of the lads that are saying they shouldnt be let amalgamate are the same people who were giving out that mountrath and trumera arent together, and slieve bloom split from castletown, but when its a genuine threat to the big 4 in laois suddenly its a big issue, i myself cant see it happening considering their is absolutely no links underage between them
