Both teams have been in semi finals in the last 3 years, but its only hurling im sure the county board are more interested in the junior c football teams they plan on setting up

I know it doesn't necessarily translate, but our results (apart from the Offaly game (1pt diff)) have been better than the Dublin results.

Plus we'll be at home.
Plus we're going for six-in-a-row v the Dubs in the league.

I'd be hopeful of a win. The worry is our size, but then again, what's new?

I'm very optimistic that the lads can dig deep and pull it off against Dublin considering their current situation, home advantage has been very good to teams this year

Stapleton looked to settle before half time but was quiet after. Quinlan was handed the unenviable task of marking an in form Joe Bergin and struggled from the off with Bergin rattling the net immediately. Looked a bit more at home in the half line. Mark Kavanagh scored a sideline and maybe one from play. Got bottled up when looking to take on his man but won some good ball. McKane looks lively but its a huge ask for him to compete against lads 3/4 stone heavier than him. Panel is threadbare. Worried for cship.

McKane has lovely skill, I fear he isn't big enough but I may eat my words, Kavanagh I the Michael Owen of Laois, feel so sorry for him but if he stays injury free he is a great asset, If never seen Quinlan play adult level hurling, u21 with b/k was the last I seen of him

An absolute mile off the pace today. No bite to us whatsoever. You'd have question some of the switches made by Kelly too. We didnt compete in the air at all. Defenders batting the ball with no conviction or bite. It was over with 25 mins left and the scoreline flattered us.

Did any of the subs perform well?

Good to see Cha and Sean Downey performing well for Carlow IT and Mark Kav returning for LIT. I think its just the long term injuries now Picky, Cahir and Dwane. I think PJ Scully will come into contention in the next couple of weeks.
Theres no mention of Paddy Whelan, Aaron Dunphy or Ciaran Collier so im assuming they are not involved. Hopefully we can stay relatively injury free for a while at least.

Been told Conor Quinlan is training with the squad now, best of luck to him, picky will be a great addition, mccane getting a lot of chances too, if..if we can beat Antrim and maybe Dublin it puts us in a good situation as points difference with Offaly just may be inferior

In fairness, it was more of an ad hoc arrangement with Raheen Parish Gaels, and the move to Mountrath is an attempt to streamline matters, and have all their players playing underage in the one place, I suppose.

Oh God knows, they were allowed to join up with Kyle and play junior b or c on their own a couple of years ago, so on a different note are park/timahoe a full amalgamation or will they play junior on their own or play football on their own?

Any word on Trumera and Ballinakill? I would have assumed it would be approved or declined last night.
It was "approved" last night at county level. But the word is Croke Park are unlikely to allow it.

It shouldn't be approved anyway, these bed hopping amalgamations are the very thing brought up as an issue last year, although Trumera will probably say they cannot field a team on their own or something along those lines.

Lads, lads, lads, cant ye see, Clonaslee have launched their own investigation into the matter. Trust them to handle this in the correct manner please.

Latest findings from the internal investigation confirm that the player that headbut the clonaslee players hurl is "grand" amd it will make him hardy

The Clonaslee-St Manman's player who was named as re-entering the pitch and starting the melee had been previously sent off in the first half due a second yellow card minor infraction and was in fact togged in and standing in the dug outs behind his mentor when the melee began.

"In the referee's report, it is alleged that Clonaslee parents entered the field of play after the whistle was blown and had contributed to the melee.

"While we acknowledge some parents did enter the pitch, it was only to remove their children from the pitch as three of our players indicated they were assaulted. The players in question have now all made statements which will be forwarded to the children's officer.

As previously stated, the melee did not start as a result of a Clonaslee player re-entering the field of play. It was in fact started by an off-the-ball incident involving a Clonaslee and Rosenallis player.

"At that point, players from both clubs were involved in the incident and it was at this point that the referee abandoned the game, with a scoreline of Clonaslee 4-9 and Rosenallis 1-8.

"The injured Rosenallis player remained on the pitch with his mother, mentor and a registered nurse, who is a mother of a Clonaslee player and who provided medical assistance.

"She assured that the injured player had sustained an injury but was lucid, talking and at no point unconscious as was inaccurately reported in some media.

"This statement from Clonaslee-St Manman's is as a result of an investigation by our club, where statements have been taken and are being forwarded to relevant authorities.

"It is with regret that Clonaslee-St Manman's GAA Club find it necessary to release a statement of this nature to defend our juveniles against the inaccuracies reported by some sections of the media and on social media.

Might aswell of said it was the young lads fault for having a soft head and it should of been at least a free...bull

Ballyfin seem to be playing well in the intermediate league, without the gaels players they will have for the championshio at senior b, maybe rosenallis can do well this year also. I think Ballacolla will be difficult to beat but they have played darren maher at centre forward and willie hyland at centre back which is certainly differant. But i wouldnt be surprised to see b/k retain as they seem to have all the tools to do so and with their forwards they are the team to beat

Walsh, the manager, saying it's been going on since last year and didn't want to name names but someone should be hung out over it. Parlon played last year for Laois and has obviously been training all along with the minors so he'd be entitled to be pissed off.

A certain hurry as he may or may not be known

How could it possible be his fault?
Player registrations/eligibility etc etc go well above the head of development squad coaches.
Silly comment.

I know his father well and that seems to be the case, be it a silly comment or not it seems to be the talk of the town as they say. May it be false i retract it

What happened young Parlon from Roscrea,is he injured?
wasnt let play due to playing with roscrea, which county board stepped in i dont know
I believe he was ineligible and our CB were made aware of this only on Thursday night last.

if hes that highly rated,Im surprised the Tipp minor management werent in for him.

He will likely go to b/k and is also highly rated as a full back prospect in roscrea
highly rated in a club that hasnt won a whole lot recently  is what i meant. Im sure the Tipp machine wont be stressing either way
