Quote from: Puckoon on March 15, 2024, 03:09:12 PMCan we include his work with the Travelling Wilbury's? As thankfully he didn't sing all that much with them.

He sang on about 4 songs on Vol 1 and 5 on Vol 3

Yes but thankfully not all that much and not generally not the whole song..

Revisited The Shining last night. First watch in maybe 20 years. Still a sublime performance from Jack Nicholson - and have a bit more sympathy for Shelly Duvall's efforts after learning more of what Kubrick put her through during the shooting of the movie. 5 star psychological horror for it's time.

Quote from: tintin25 on February 14, 2024, 05:52:15 PMLooking for a new car at the moment and seen a car I liked at a dealership last weekend.  Looking to buy outright so appreciate less room to haggle although the dealer wasn't budging an inch.  Would he take £200 less - no, would he do 12 months warranty even instead of 6 - no.  I wouldn't mind but the car had a small key mark on it and scorch on the alloy yet he wasn't being flexible at all.

Business must be booming for them, and there's another lad coming behind you ready to take it. In my own industry at the moment we're offering all kind of concessions just to secure the business and revenue that will naturally grow a little with change orders and the like. In 16 years I've never seen a buyers market like it.

Have been waiting to see when they're here. How strong is that rumour?
Spot all the lads in their late 40s 👀

Early 40s Tony. Relax Yourself FFS!

We've been following them around for the last few years and have had a superb experience at each show. Each one different, different opening song, different set list every night. Would love to do Dublin but the prices of accommodation are scandalous. Would be as cheap to go to Madison Square and stay in NYC so I've lumped my luck in for MSG, Wrigley, Seattle, and Montana. If I get 2 I'll be happy.

All the other rumors were right - and it was just confirmed today after the release of the new single. First Irish show since 2010

Game was won/lost on the blocked extra point. Chip shot that would have ended the game 20-19, most probably.

Quote from: Tony Baloney on February 05, 2024, 08:50:09 PMCommon People. 1995 was the year I started dating the now wife. Dropped a can of beer in The Crescent and got it over her shoes. It didn't put her off and had a wee dance to Common People.

She told you that her Dad was loaded?

Golly, great thread - but the missing years 91-94 are going to lose some showcasing!

Song 2 - A most unfortunate success from a band that was significantly better than that effort!

Maybe mentioned already, but wanting to follow in Arsenal, and Wrexham's footsteps and get on the documentary bandwagon
