General discussion / Re: Gender fluidity? What next?

Suprised that T Fearon started this thread given his devout catholic stance ?

Manys a man in Catholic Ireland had a second name of Mary !  Brian Friel's Play "Philadelphia, Here I Come", the main character's full name was Gareth Mary O'Donnell

Its been going on for years...............next !

Decision, nothing to do with the Keane decision

The Panel's decision related to lack of fair procedure afforded to Mr Connolly at an early stage in the GAA's internal disciplinary process which unfairly hindered the preparations for, and presentation of, his defence. Mr Connolly was thus free to play

Absolutely ludicrous to hear some of the names mentioned. Good players with no track record in management ?

Some serious progress this year and quite a few inexperienced  players now becoming established. To suggest a new manager after going toe to toe with kerry for 65 minutes in an all ireland semi final is in my opinion nuts.

If he wants another year give it to him.

Appeal unsuccessful. It won't be a proper victory for Mayo now. Corruption in the GAA.

It's going to the CAC. It's not over yet

And then the DRA after that if unsuccessful

Ban upheld. Connolly will not play Saturday.

Did you use your Deloran and skip forward 24 hours?
CHC obviously did.

Apologies Ballina, thought it was tomorrow

In other disciplinary news, both Dublin and Armagh have both been fined €6,500 after they lost their respective appeals for a charge of disruptive behaviour in a challenge match in June.

No chance will o Connor be done for that.

It would make life a lot easier for Dublin, granted.
Not a hope. A player trying to escape being held by a defender at least 50 yds from the play.No direct movement of player towards ROC

No chance. He'll be playing.

Better off not getting involved when you've no idea what's going on behind the scenes.

But intelligence was never your strong point.

Lol.... Like your statement on the gouging by AOS.

It was on TV there O`Carrol had his arms round O`Connor waist and as O`Connor swung round to get loose he accidentally clipped the dub fullback with the back of his open hand as be swung round, Not even a free to be honest fore by black, yellow or red.

11 stitches and it's not a free  ;D

Should have been a free for Mayo

If ROC had some manners he wouldn't have got it.
Hope Mayo give yous more of it, Dublin can't cope when it's put up to them

On a positive, there was no biting today which is an improvement!

He won't be done for that.
Running forward, interfered with from behind by ROC, reacts without looking behind him.

Much as you would like it COC will be playin

Commentary said immediately after the incident it "was as a result of a getting to know you tussle with Cillian o Connor".

In Indianas swift attempt to deflect he's got the wrong man.

Hypocritical considering the amount of lectures on how football should be played.
Connolly was agitating for a scrap all day long.

Dublins true colours return today.

Can anyone explain why the Leinster champions or whoever may have beaten them in the quarters are always in the second AI semi final?

Its to give the Dubs as much rest as possible before the semi ?   ;)

The games over. FFS move on.  Its getting embarrassing.

Be content to know that Tyrone put up a good show. theres enough talent there to be positive about the future. They are  probably a few years ahead in terms of rebuilding than most people anticipated.

All the moaning in the world, wont change the result.

Lock the thread !   Good luck Kerry !

Well done Kerry. They constantly adapt. They are some footballing county.

A vast improvement in Tyrone over the last 6 weeks. The year will be viewed as successful in blooding a lot of new young players and in
the defeat today they will have learned a lot.

To be successful at the top level any need team needs to be ruthless.Today Tyrone weren't and once they levelled after the penalty they needed to push on. A little bit more guile in the stretch would have been good but that will come with experience.

An accurate distance free taker, more appetite and ruthlessness in going for goal would take them forward in leaps and bounds.

A hugely spirited and positive performance.

Great also to see the Mickey Harte is staying on for 2016
