Cracker by Mane. Under fair bit of pressure in that first half!! Very lucky to be 1up!!

Awful lucky...defence looked nervous, every clearance either went to a saint or out for a throw in. Midfield getting owned and no spark or threat up front tl Mane pops up with a great strike.

Need to sort it out for the second half

Or more like very lucky not to be 3 down.....

Some finish alright from Mane, he has become arguably more important to Liverpool than Salah. That first half performance was to be expected though after the game midweek.  Hopefully they can get a 2nd goal now to kill the game off
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Better 2nd half. Adrian with a couple of good saves as well which is good to see.

Jaysis the heart attacks are starting early this year...
Blessed...
How did Ings miss that chance to equalise?
Still though Liverpool could have been 3 or 4 up in that second half and should have had the game killed off.
Adrian actually did have a decent game and made some great saves, some brain fart for their goal though.

reminiscent of Mignolet.

The reality is that Adrian was an experienced cheap option for cover for League and FA Cup games.

Or the odd niggle Allison might have and need a game off.

He's been sort of thrown in the deep end.

He's no better than Mignolet or Karius, just cheaper and a short term fix.

Better to get £6.4m for Mignolet and hopfully a couple of quid for Karius.

City bitching and moaning about the VAR. What do they want from VAR? Allow the goals we score but do't let other hand ball goals stand? If the boot was on the other foot and Spurs got a hand ball assisted goal City would be livid.

Boycey

VAR is sucking the life out of football, they need to tweak it to get the best out of it..

It's not VAR itself, it's the ridiculous new handball rules.

I think it's both. VAR has created a hierarchy of rules and leads to potentially even more inconsistent decision making with a second referee basically making some crucial decisions whilst the new hand ball rule has gone too far to address the issues with the old rule.

Think he's better than him,  better to get that slip-up out of the system at this stage and move on

Not sure what City & VAR has got to do with LFC at this stage but in any case they were pretty hard done by in my opinion.

On Adrian, a decent keeper, back up value and quality. Silly error but be sure he'll be warned the same as Alisson was last year after he did similar. Shouldn't happen again. Top of the league and another trophy, will take that.
