Spurs in talks with Dybala, 70m fee. He'd probaly go there, Champion League, argentine manager and attraction of London.

Read Coutinho on loan to spurs as well

And another scenario per Sky Sports:

Spurs sell Erickson to United
Spurs buy Coutinho for 80m.

Boycey

Both Coutinho and Dybala would be above Spurs and more specifically Levy's wage ceiling?

Will the Eriksen deal happen?? Seems strange to go to United in his position and forfeit Champions League football. At best United will be on a par with Spurs in the league.

Not happening, Utd stopped discussions, he wants to go to Madrid

Strange statement. Madrid have an ability to find money from all kinds of avenues. If they want him truly, they'll get him.

Fair point

It does seem there are a lot of pieces that could fall into place and if one goes the domino effect will make for a mental end to the window.

Woodworm is only making it look like he is busy. Talking to players then deciding they want to play elsewhere. When utd finish mid table he will say we tried but they wanted to go elsewhere. It's all a ploy

That fat mess Lukaku is gone and they've all but recouped their spend. Great to see him off loaded. Even if they don't sign anyone else the squad is stronger. He was poison. Not a Manchester United player.

Squad is definitely not stronger.  I think we are losing sight of the fact that our main striker has left and won't be replaced.  This would not happen any other team or any United team in the past.  Additionally, we have lost 2 midfielders who regularly played and they have not been replaced.  We have not got rid of any of the deadwood either; you would always imagine that to play and stay at a big club like United you would have to be constantly delivering, yet you have Darmian, Jones, Rojo etc who seemingly are the ones in control with regard to whether they stay at United or not.

Trying to see positives is difficult.  The defence will hopefully be stronger, which not only will result in less goals conceded but should allow the team to be more balanced as there has been an over compensation in trying to protect the defence the past few years.  If the team is in fact fitter and the mentality has improved, there is no reason why they couldn't get to the immediate post Solskjaer levels again.  Its a poor reflection of United though when you will see the like of Ashley Young playing this season, fair play to him as a professional for knuckling down and filling another role but he wasn't good enough to start for United in his prime yet is starting now when he is over the hill.  Matic is too slow and immobile, need someone who is athletic to play DM.  Actually, no positives going forward.

Has a player so modest ever been moved around for so much in accumulated transfer fees?

He was never a Manchester Utd player. Mediocre. Fat (100kgs++) Lazy. Unfit. Lacks ability. No first touch. No second touch. Couldn't head the ball. Lacks awareness. Lacks positional sense. Couldn't hold the ball up. No ability to bring others into the play. Ill disciplined. COULD NOT STOP EATING!!
We can't tolerate average. He leaves and immediately the squad is stronger  they know the levels he produced aren't good enough. NOT A MANCHESTER UNITED PLAYER!
