Main Street

That had the feel of a scrap to avoid the group's wooden spoon.

Poor showing again late in the second half. Clear as day what we need to work on. Based on today and the last day Conlon needs to go back on the bench and Shane Walsh to start. Badly need about 4 or 5 quality players to shore up that team. Goalkeeper way below the required level. Well done Mayo but that was hard work. Cillian O'Sullivan needs to take the blinkers off. Had options and ignored them too often.
It won't be the next manager but the one after that Meath will become competitive again - MO'D 2016

Lost his head late on and responsible for turning a likely 3 point defeat into a 9 point defeat.

Newman was a huge loss for frees and inspiration.

Never mind losing his head between his own short comings on kick outs and our midfield there's no way for us to advance unless this is sorted next year. Newman has that creative spark but we need someone else with that too. Conlon might have that in a few years but he's still a bit too wild in his kicking. You can get away with it against Laois but not this level.

Yes. Mayo win last game they qualify.

Great result for Mayo, a win qualifies them now for certain. They refuse to go away.

Certainly made hard work of it. Very flat and stale first half, that was to be expected after losing by 9 and 10 points the week before. Heard Higgins had a bit of a knock. Forwards were awful in the first half. Lot of poor decisions made by our players too. Hard to believe we managed to win it, as usually the opposition would make us pay in some fashion. Next Donegal in Castlebar, based on today we won't get within 5 of them.

This was our 5th week out in a row. We had no Higgins, Ruane, Diarmuid and Paddy. Played for the main part sh1te and we still won by 9 points.

And not to forget that Aidan O'Se is carrying an injury. Not a bad result when all that is considered.

Any chance of Diarmuid and Ruane coming back in the next 2 weeks?
