London were a bit cheeky getting there game against Carlow postponed. They've played a round of their championship over the weekend meaning they have a whole bunch of new players eligible for them.

Bad result for Tipp.
We were in Division 2 not so long ago and were competitive against teams like Donegal
Looking in from the outside, it appears that John Evans was a great asset.
Would Tipp people agree?

Limerick edged out Offaly by one point in Tullamore on Sunday and are in the driving seat for promotion now.

Bad result for offaly, although I would have said Limerick should be too good for Div 4 in normal circumstances. Mind you, I'm sure Tipp would have been thinking the same, that's a serious blow for them below in Dungarvan.

This might be a very tidy aul' division in terms of getting out of it. Carlow, Waterford and Limerick will all be fancying it at this stage, but you'd expect Clare, Offaly ,Leitrim and Tipp to have a serious say yet.

Catch and Kick

The fixtures and results are falling well for Carlow. They now have two home games v London and Leitrim. If they can win both they are in a great position. Expect the Munster teams to take points off each other and damaging each other's chances of promotion. Carlow pulling well under Rainbow but lack a real scoring threat.

Onlooker

Couple of significant results this afternoon.   Tipperary 1-13; Clare 0-10 and London 0-14; Waterford 1-10.   Big set backs for Clare and Waterford, who were both going well, but Tipp are back with a chance in the promotion race.

The Burner

Limerick dug out another hard fought win yesterday. No making things easy for themselves but its good that we are eeking out wins. Hopefully be able to see it home to the end of the league. We are just such a hard team to break down and the most encouraging thing is that we still have a number of key players to return to full fitness. Johnny McCarthy was outstanding as ever at full back and and i though our half back line was also outstanding. We are struggling a little up front where we are over dependent on Ian Ryan, But its all about getting out of Division 4 and we are very much in the driving seat at the moment. Still work to be done and have a tough one against Tipp next Saturday.

Carlow after a decent/unexpected win away to Tipp, have fell back into the usual. A lucky 1 pt win v London, followed by a horrible display losing at home to Leitrim.
We went away to Limerick yesterday and played some of the most negative horrible football i've seen. Worked for a bit, ground out a 7-5 lead with 15 mins to go...but instead of kicking on, dragged everyone back, and went way too defensive too soon.
Called it then, said we'd lose by a pt, which is exactly what happened.

Limerick are 4 wins from 4, but a seriously ordinary side. Reckon Tipp will come back and beat them in Div 4 final as both get promoted.

Well done to Offaly and Emmet Mc
Maybe playing ugly football and not making best use of your marquee forward......  but it didnt do Donegal any harm.

;)

AZOffaly

Delighted for Offaly, important to get out of that division. Feel sorry for Tipp due to personal circumstances, but I'm glad to see Limerick going up as well.

Welcome back to the big time, AZ  :D

The Burner

Congratulations to the Limerick Footballers on their well earned promotion to Division 3. Saved their best until last as they were excellent in the second half against a strong breeze. Building up nicely to championship and hopefully can clinch the Division 4 title as a bonus and set them up for a right crack off Cork in the Championship.

Tipp should be getting out of Division 4 with the young talent they have. Thought they might have went up this year, but Offaly and Limerick are decent teams when they have a full pick to chose from.

Tipp will be disappointed with that, but they paid for a bad start. Going to Tullamore in a winner takes all was always going to be 50-50. Important match tomorrow night in the U21 Munster Final v Cork. Davie Power is managing them, and while this is a year before the really successful minor teams, he'll still be hoping to win the U21 again. Tipp won it in 2010 last. This team were beat by 3 points as minors in the Munster Semi final by Cork.
