Lion on Netflix, a true story about a boy in India who got lost is probably the best film I've seen in 10 years.
Great shout. Watched it on your recommendation and loved it. Great story

Anyone seen The Irishman? Any good

Uncut Gems was very good I thought . Went and watched it on my lonesome last night . Adam Sandler is excellent .

nrico2006

Had low enough expectations of the Irishman but thought it was very good. Didn't drag either. But confusing throughout due to De Niro's age and appearance though.

It's worth watching for Pesci's performance alone.

Come at it with low expectations and you'll be ok.  Don't expect Godfather or Goodfellas

Enjoyed the new star wars film despite the poor reviews. Thought it was more fun than the previous 2.

+1. I don't understand all the negative reviews.

Just after watching it myself, thanks for the recommendation, the missus is still bawling her eyes out. An amazing story.

Another one who watched, and really enjoyed Lion last night, following the recommendation.  Thanks.

Any other suggestions for films on Netflix or Amazon that may not be really well known but are well worth watching?

Another Lion watcher thanks to who ever recommended, great watch.

Orior

I watched "Are You Being Served" a few days ago. Classic seventies humour loaded with innuendo which hurt nobody. Mrs Slocombe stole the show.
