GAA Discussion / GAA record achievments

I see on the TM Cup thread someone asked if Antrim's score against KK was a record. Anyone know?

Here's an interesting one...

Wht is the highest winning margin/ scoreline you've ever heard of or seen?

And the highest individual score in a match, hurling or football?

Apparently Michael Donnellan scored 0-33 in an underage game (anyone confirm??)! Didn't Mickey Kearins score something like 18 points in a Railway Cup match...

GAA Discussion / Anyone speak Hogan Stand-ish?

This isn't even from one of their message boards. Can anyone translate? I think they're trying to say something about Monaghan hurling, but I'm not sure...

QuoteHaving been to a right at the death in their opening game against like all modern face a potential banana skin fixture in division 38 when they take on the tram on Sunday 4th March.

It is a game of Monaghan need to win if they are to have any chance of qualifying bodily Toome have proven to be difficult opposition in the past and Jerry Murphy and his charges certainly cannot afford to take anything for granted. Mitterrand were defeated in their opening game to make Monaghan they too will be looking for their first points.

Lads there's a handball survey going on at present, I'd appreciate it if you could click the releveant option in the above box.

There are efforts in place at the minute to increase the profile and it would be beneficial to get an idea of the level of interest/knowledge out there

GAA Discussion / Quotes of the year

What are the best GAA quotes of the last twelve months?

Babs Keating's "They're dead only to wash them" was good, as was Conor Hayes "Hurling is like a big country house" analogy.
