Other question:
The ball may be knocked from an opponent's
hand(s) by flicking it with the open hand
But when the ball is released or is bouncing or soccer juggling, i.e. I mean when the ball is not in contact with the hand, can it be stolen by touching it or grabbing it with both hands?

You can't wrestle the ball away from an opponent if he has it in his possession (both hands) if the ball is open/unprotected then it can be tackled/flicked punched away or taken cleanly

Quote from: Lár na páirce 1 on Today at 10:29:15 AMFar from impressive ,got a few scores near end when cargin had emptied bench and had loads of youngsters on some even playing first senior games ,Ballymena been built up to be something they aren't imo very very average with a dinosaur in charge

Think you are missing the point of why some people have been impressed with Ballymena

They haven't been in Div1 for god knows how long, they aint established either and only got into Div 1 by means of the leagues changing, for a team to be competitive with other teams and win other games in a league that they have no recent experience of, is the reason why there has been a bitta chatter about them.

Playing Cargin would be a huge step up considering the panel they have and with the main players of Ballymena on the county team, it seriously deflates their ability against the bigger squad teams

Quote from: snoopdog on Today at 07:40:35 AMSpurs had a great season and they're only 6 pts, 2 wins better than a bad United side. If United by some miracle  win the Cup, Ten Hag has had a better season than the Farewell Flopp. The main issue with that team is being constantly over run in the middle. 1 correct purchase could be worth an extra 10 points next season, but it's not too often utd get it right in the transfer market this last 10 years or so.

Couple of pool fans caught ;D

Sorry, one, the other is a neutral  ::)

Rory won't make the cut, there will be some media attention on him and as the alcohol is consumed on course the patrons will be, lets say looking a rise from Irelands best

Quote from: The Trap on May 15, 2024, 10:46:40 PMFeck me Utd fans are easily pleased. One win tonight and everything seems OK and ETH has to stay next season. Every other team will hope he stays! They have been absolutely terrible.
Just have to hope they don't get hammered by City in the final.

Jesus if they are terrible, how bad are Newcastle?

Quote from: 93-DY-SAM on May 15, 2024, 09:46:01 PMThey slap AI on everything now as a marketing gimmick. From TVs, fridges, washing machines etc. None of that contains true AI. Very little actually does.

We have it on our products too, can be off putting for some

Right, nearly sure I did Dublin v Derry in a challenge game before Derry played Dublin in the senior league and they beat Derry handy enough that day, sure only a challenge game and all that.. but they looked decent..

Maybe it was minor, not sure now!

Who beat Dublin in this competition?

Players have a duty to their club and employers, they get paid to be professional and last night Spurs were very unlucky, had Son scored that one on one, I'd say the game could have been a draw.

Teams lose the league over the season, Arsenal and other teams that have been pipped at the post lost their battle throughout the year, not end of season games

Fans are fans though and they will take the positives from defeats. Any club that has any rivalry fall into that.

I suppose the neutrals loved this season with the last day finishes coming up ;D

Its a bitta of a storm in a tea cup, I'm really liking Jarlath's approach on lots of things, and defending the GAA and so on is grand, its an amazing association, which has brought me (and continues to do) lots of enjoyment over the years. Certainly his speech at the hurling final was one to savour

But as my wife always said when bringing up the kids, pick your battles. I don't think he needs to get bogged down with, certainly with the media, quips and retorts, they are grand for the pub or with friends, Make a small statement and move on
