At this point, we're more than a little cheesed off with the antics going on behind the scenes.

Add to that experiences like one of the linesmen in the quarter-final gloating to some of our players immediately after the match that we were finished and we would never win anything again, and I can't see many if any of them going in to the county next year (the main achievement of the county set-up this year apparently being to get our players injured so the less involvement the better as far as I'm concerned).

More drama behind the scenes as the Referee Co-coordinator stepped down following 2 late night phone call from ? disagreeing over him notifying a referee of an earlier thrown in time by 30 minutes agreed in advance by both clubs. With a referee quitting after a game on Tuesday evening and referees and match officials having to be replaced at short notice , its time for clubs to wake up and see whats going on

Not the greatest game ever, very sloppy and a lot of unforced errors...exciting finish, Slashers could feel hard done by not to get another day out. Refs decision making was in keeping with the game

Had no expectations going over - we were missing three or four through long-term injuries and another through suspension, we had been poor against Killoe and very lucky to get past Mostrim, although we would have been in even direr straits if we had to wait until after Killoe had exited Leinster due to another couple of lads going travelling at the end of this month - so the victory came as a relief as well as a pleasant surprise.
