At a superficial level it is boring to the passing observer. I've tried explaining to the missus and teenage kids the skill involved in accurate cueball control, break building, safety play etc. ZERO interest. Same for darts.

Some of you lads could start a row in an empty room.

Jimmy White said the old stagers couldn't manage the speed of the tables. Not sure why these other chaps could if they are considered less skilful.

Phenomenal
Most powerful one yet

That's me done. For now

Whats wrong with this one? Thats how you say it is it not?

The podcasts are grand. Don't listen to them all but would dip in and out of them. Niblock is a decent interviewer but definitely goes down the 'powerful' route too much that now I just don't believe him any more ;D

Surely Hampsey is fine. No h needed. I think hes doing this now himself I think I heard him on sunday

Main street - Niblock Scale - I like it. This could have legs

A measurement of podcast excellence eg it was an 8 on the Niblock Scale. Excellent
Is it replacing the watt as the SI unit of power?

Korea and Namibia were nice
I'd like to visit the Skeleton Coast and all those massive sand dunes. I remember a lecturer talking about the diamonds lying about in the sand!

It's not over yet. Hearts will be out to make a mark and then a 6 pointer against the huns. Far from over.

Quote from: Rois on April 28, 2024, 07:25:29 AMFlew to Oz once, delayed honeymoon. Pilot announced "this is an emergency descent" when we were over the Indian
Ocean. We were fine, but for a few mins I thought it would end up differently.
Thanks for that Rois  ;D

Quote from: Milltown Row2 on April 27, 2024, 06:10:24 PMThink they mentioned that keeper had an injury signalled to ref but played on and then when the Liverpool picked up the ball the ref blew,

Stuart Pearse did say he should have put ball in net and ask the question.

But it's definitely not because he's from Manchester ffs
*Definitely*? How do you know?

As Clattenburg said about the Forest game and has been said many times before, including in the SPL - just use a totally neutral ref and save yourself the hassle.

A lot of people have been to Oz. On paper it's a place I'd like to have visited but the getting there is very off putting for someone who hates flying. How many 1 hr flights would it take?!

Quote from: ONeill on April 26, 2024, 11:53:35 PMI think he's taken them to a new level. And the PL too. Liverpool have had 2 near-faultless seasons and didn't win the league.
Yep it can't be all money or all manager, you need both. A bit of financial misconduct also helps.

Go business class.
It's a fear thing rather than legroom although much better than I was. Have taken Diazepam in the past.

There are a cluster of family hotels in Olhos D'Agua just outside Albufeira - 3HB Guarana etc. with steps nearby down to the beach. We stayed in the area last year and going back this year but not to a kid friendly hotel thankfully! Less than €10 by Uber into Albufeira.
